I booked the fused glass workshop as a birthday treat for my son and mother in law. We are all different ages and this was the most enjoyable day for us all. Cathy is informative, patient and very inspirational. Its thoroughly absorbing and the most wonderful way to spend a day. The workshop is small but has everything you require to be as creative as possible. My son had the most challenging design idea but with Cathy's expertise and patience he has the most incredible piece of glass artwork very unique to him.

Response from Glass By Design:The work produced by yourselves was unique & diverse! The 'trainer' was challenging as an interpretation in glass but the results are amazing. Well done all. See you soon
I took my two children to Glass by Design to make a glass coaster. They had a great time constructing the design of the coaster under Kathy’s careful guidance. She was very supportive and patient. Nothing was too much trouble. The session flew by and both children (11 and 10 years old) said that they had both thoroughly enjoyed the class. They were even more pleased to see the finished product a week later, and both coasters look very professional. Would certainly recommend this experience, and only wished I had booked myself on the course at the same time!

Response from Glass By Design:So glad that everyone enjoyed themselves. They made such lovely creative projects.
My brother and I took our mum on this course for her 60th birthday, hoping to make some memories as well as some keepsakes. The day did not disappoint! The classes are very intimate (max 3-4 people), so you get lots of one-to-one guidance. Cathy helped each of us take an idea and make it happen, and we each came away with something totally different, and that we felt really proud of. The team at Glass By Design are all lovely, too. I can't recommend this course highly enough

Response from Glass By Design:Thank you for such a lovely review. So glad it all arrived safely! Hope to see you again soon
Had a wonderful time here and thoroughly enjoyed the course. I made a floral piece that catches the light every day in my kitchen. There were only two of us which meant we had almost one to one teaching. Plenty of instruction and information was given. We had a lovely lunch and plenty of coffee. I went back to collect our pieces about a week later after firing and I was really impressed how good it was!! It’s currently on my Pinterest page and has been repinned lots of times.
My husband bought this course for me as a gift and was so impressed he bought me another for our wedding anniversary.
I had a fab day and would recommend to anyone. Thanks girls.

Response from Glass By Design:Thanks so much for leaving this and very glad your piece gives you so much joy. Hope you will come again soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed a half day fused glass course. Went with a friend and there were only the two of us on the course and we got very friendly, helpful tuition from Cathy. We learnt about fused glass and each made a lovely suncatcher and picture. We are not very "arty" but are really pleased with our results. Will definitely be coming back. Would highly recommend this course....and there are some great things to buy in the shop too!

Response from Glass By Design:Very well done, your pieces looked great. Hope we see you again soon.
Our 8 year old daughter is now completely captivated with glass fusion having spent 2 amazing mornings with Cathy learning this specialist craft.
With clear expert instruction from Cathy and 2 hours of concentration a beautiful horse and an elephant were created, using tweezers to dexterously place fine glass rods and twinkling stones onto a glass base. Each piece is unique and very much treasured- a magical morning.

Response from Glass By Design:It is always rewarding teaching children as they are so creative. Hope to see you again soon.
I've been to two sessions I loved it so much. You can fully immerse yourself in the process but get as much help as you want and need to. The range of glass is fab and picking up the finished piece is a real thrill

Response from Glass By Design:Thanks so much. Glad you have enjoyed your time with us and hope we shall see you again soon.
I received a course as a gift and was delighted when I attended. As a novice I was given clear and helpful instructions and ended up with quite an advanced piece of fused glass...a curved underwater screen with shoals of fish and seaweed! I would highly recommend this course, and as numbers are small the teaching is excellent,

Response from Glass By Design:Thanks so much for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed your time with us so much.
I had an amazing day with Cathy. The small class size meant that I had lots of one to one instruction and advice from her. She was able to tailor the day to me as a beginner whilst supporting others on the course who had some prior knowledge. I was able to design and make a dish and 2 coasters. I have had countless comments about them as they are so unique. This is a fun activity for individuals or groups of friends.

Response from Glass By Design:Many thanks for this. So glad you enjoyed your day with us.
I had a great experience on the glass fusion course. The tutor, Cathy was very good & informative. The studio was clean & light with great workspaces. The lunch was fab. I did the course with my sister, who lives away so it was nice to spend time together & do something creative. We are both art trained but you did not need previous experience. I can fully recommend the courses at Glass by Design. Angelina & Cathy are very kind & helpful. I am looking forward to doing a Stained Glass course next.

Response from Glass By Design:Many thanks indeed. Hope we see you again soon.
I recently attended the half day fused glass course and it was thoroughly enjoyable and totally absorbing. The class sizes are small so you feel like you can ask questions and get the most out of the class in a relaxed and friendly environment. Kathy was clear with her instructions and supportive with your ideas, helping you bring them from thought to action. I can’t wait to sign up for another course

I attended the half day Glass Fusion Workshop run by Kathy. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the time just flew by as we were so absorbed. It was interesting learning how to use the glass and Kathy was superb with both her teaching and her guidance as to what would work and what would not.

Response from Glass By Design:Many thanks - Hope you are very proud of what you made.
I am interested in crafts and wanted to try something different. The half day glass fusing was just what I needed. Lots of information and guidance with something worthwhile to take home afterwards.
I will be going back for more.

My husband bought me a one day glass fusion course as a birthday present. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and made two items to bring home with me. They have been much admired and when I look at them they are a lovely reminder of a day well spent. It is a small and intimate workshop where you are given as much support as you need. I can highly recommend.
Andrea Evans - - #21794
Response from Glass By Design:Many thanks indeed. I can think of nothing better than making your own present! A Birthday you will never forget!
I attended a course run by Kathy .
The day exceeded all my expectations. I have previously been on a course where my finished project cracked in the kiln so I had my fingers crossed this wouldn’t happen again.
I’m not the best when it comes to finding inspiration, Kathy was patient and knowledgeable enabling me to design something I’m very proud of. The finished dish sits on my dressing table; I look at it everyday and think, I made that!
Joy Robertson - - #21793
Response from Glass By Design:Many thanks. Glad you are justly proud of what you made.
I had a wonderful day with Angelina learning how to make a fuse glass dish. Her tuition was excellent and I was delighted with my finished piece when I picked it up a few days later. Hoping to book another course at Glass by Design later in the year.
