Fused glass- Screen Printing/eglomise
Fused glass course is suitable for those with prior experience with glass fusing. Expert tuition from international glass artist Karen Redmayne BA Hons PTTLS. Classes are run from her Redcurrant Glass studio based in Pendle, in the heart of Lancashire. You will learn how to screen print on glass. You will be taught all skills required including working with powders and screen printing equipment, health and safety, types of glasses, firing and finishing. You will work with bullseye glass and powders. You will start with smaller items to create samples. You will create a larger piece using the techniques gained such as bowls, curves and wall plaques in the afternoon. On day two you will explore the technique of Eglomise applying gold, silver foils the glass. You will learn how to apply foils and lacquers to your fired pieces of glass. Please note due to covid 19 class sizes have been reduced to just four, screens have been added for your personal safety and hand gels are on all work stations.
