Fused Glass Introduction with Manchester Stained glass

X

Description

Come and create a fused glass suncatcher tile to hang and a keyring (time depending) as well. This is a fun hands on workshop, with time to play with the glass and create your own piece of glass art with guidance from the tutor. It is a bit like ‘cutting and sticking’ with glass. During the afternoon or evening workshop, the basics of fused glass will be explained, with a quick guide to cutting and shaping small pieces of glass, and how to use all the lovely 'inclusions'. The inclusions are like a candy shop of fun bits and pieces of glass to play with. Your pieces will be fired in a kiln at a very hot temperature, which melts the glass into one fused piece. They will be ready for collection in a week or two for you to pick up, (times for pick up to be arranged). No previous experience is needed, just a desire to have some fun and see what magic might happen when glass is fused together.

What's included in the price?

All the glass materials needed to create with and firing in the kiln. Goggles and aprons also provided.
