Forage and Fuse at the Cheshire School of Glass

X

Description

With the abundance of seed heads, leaves and flora all in season this new course heightens the nature lovers senses. Foraging helps people reconnect with nature and fusing glass also has therapeutic qualities. The fusion of these two acts has been the catalyst for this wonderfully satisfying and experimental course. You will learn the glass fusing technique of Fossil Vitra, learning the key glass fusing skills that will allow you to get the best results and achieve the finest detail within your work. You will spend a wonderfully relaxing day firstly foraging for natural things such as foliage and feathers mindfully in the nearby hedgerows by the beautiful countryside surroundings after which you'll be shown how to speed-press and dry your finds which will then be eternally embossed and fused into your glass, creating bowls, coasters or wall art panels. This is a truly magical course that will leave you relaxed, excited and inspired. No experience necessary but equally as interesting and challenging for the seasoned glass fuser.
