I had a great time with Deborah this weekend. Despite this being the first time for me to work with glass, the result was amazing! I had the luxury to be alone on the course and Deborah allowed me to work on projects I was interested in. I am so grateful that I could manage my dream glass designs! I should mention that Deborah is a proper chef and pampered me with excellent lunch as a bonus! Go and try the course, you won’t be disappointed at all!

I attended the 3 day course after my first visit to the studio to attend the amazing Silver Zebra Christmas one day course, Deborah is so knowledgeable and supports you through each project encouraging creativity and embedding the necessary technical knowledge for each piece. You go home bitten by the glass bug and can't wait to collect your finished projects; always amazing, you learn such a lot each time you visit. I will be booking on the Christmas course our 3rd) with my friends, I can't wait, and those lunches are absolutely delicious! Thanks Deborah!

Fabulous! We have been on several glass workshops here & each time found it value for money, relaxing, beautiful lunches & we made some really great projects.
My wife was hesitant to go on a glass course but with Deborah’s guidance we soon got into it. She’s a fun knowledgeable tutor & doesn’t skimp on materials. There’s a box of off cuts you can help yourself to if you have a bit of spare time to have a play & I made 3 extra coasters
We have just booked onto the Xmas workshop.

Excellent course, I learnt a lot of techniques to further my studies. Deborah is a great tutor patient and enthusiastic. She guides you through the glass sessions effortlessly. The ladies on the course were fabulous too. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the learning. Thank you.

I recently did Deborah's 3 day workshop on glass fusing and it was a really worthwhile experience. I had dabbled a couple of times before with glass fusing and really wanted to be able to get my teeth into it. Deborah's course was just what I needed - it covered all the basics plus more in-depth information.
The group size was small, so we all had as much attention as we needed. The homemade lunches were lovely, too!
I can certainly recommend this course for anyone who thinks they might like to have a go at glass fusing, or for someone who's had a go at a half-day/one-day course and feels that a day is not long enough! I do feel I learnt a lot from Deborah and that the course was value for money.

Thoroughly enjoyed all three days, learnt a lot, made a lot of pieces, met lovely people and shared some delicious food. Can't recall being so satisfyingly absorbed in an activity. Deborah is an excellent teacher, generous with her knowledge, ideas and materials. Course is excellent value for money.

Had an amazing time, met new friends, learned so very much, ate wonderful food and brought away memories and many glass inspirations, the whole thing was well taught with an informality that made everyone comfortable with the work they produced.

I was looking for a course that would give me a good foundation to learn and develop my understanding of fused glass. The course was perfectly structured - a large variety of projects with all the guidance and materials we needed. I loved the fact that we were encouraged to use our own creativity rather than everyone producing something that looked the same. Deborah is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent tutor... she is obviously very passionate about her art. She made us very welcome and the lunches she provided were lovely (she's an excellent chef!). I would recommend Deborah's courses to anyone - I will definitely be back for the Intermediate Course in a few months.

Superb course, 3days of glass and great food, Deborah is very knowledgable with years of making glass art as it runs in the family.
We started making simple coasters (square pieces) just to get used to glass cutting, then moved on to one medium size glass art piece using glass frit, next we made 3 squares of glass concentrating on surface design and texture, the last day we made our final 3panel piece.
It was a great 3days and more than I expected, very pleased to now have glass art on my wall and to say I made that!

I was looking for a course in fused glass that would give me the confidence in jumping in and having a go with my own kiln and I'm pleased to say that Deborah gave me skills with all the hints and tips I needed in starting out. It was a great class of people, very relaxed but professional and we all made at the least 12 projects in total [I even had chance to make jewellery pieces too] Deborahs 12 yrs in glass really does show and I don't think you could find a better tutor, her enthusiasm really rubs off on you.
All in all an excellent weekend away with lovely people in a beautiful location, amazing food and I came away with all the skills I felt I needed to make a start in fused glass on my own. I couldnt recomend this course enough. I feel there are many glass courses to choose from but I can see that there is a difference between hobby style glass classes and studio glass which gives you some technical background without being scary, I also noticed the standard of projects we made and choice too.
I have already booked onto the 3 day next step course and cant wait, my kiln is ordered and I know that I have someone to call on for help if I get stuck!
