A fantastic two-day course designing and making stained glass. You will have a wonderful palette of coloured glasses to choose from as well as patterns and books for inspiration. We will be working with traditional tools and materials and creating beautiful panels.
Start with some basic cutting practice before going on to either create your own design for a panel or choose from a selection of prepared designs.
You will learn how to cut coloured glass using a design template and place the glass onto a glass easel. Then you will work with lead to assemble the pieces and then solder and cement the panel to finish. The final clean is done the next day at home.
There will be demonstrations of each technique and individual guidance throughout. The tutor will provide all the materials and equipment needed for the course. If you have a specific project in mind, please check with the tutor prior to the course.
Material costs payable to the tutor at the end of the course
The material costs for a panel which is approximately A3 in size is £45.00.
If you make smaller panels or more than one panel you will be charged accordingly.
