I have been on lots of craft courses but this one was on top of my list. Great day. Learnt so much. Denny was an amazing teacher and her lemon drizzle cake is to die for.
Thank you Denny so much, want to do more.

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thanks, Debbie, for your kind review. So glad you enjoyed the day (and cake!). Do hope to see you again - and don’t forget to send a photo of your mirror once grouted. Denny x

Thank you Denny for such a lovely day. The three of us enjoyed every minute. The set up you have is perfect in your garden room and you have the patience of a saint! We were all thrilled with our creations and excited to do more. We will definitely be back!
By the way, the cakes were amaaaazing.
Thank you again 😊🤗

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you - I enjoyed the day too! You were all good fun and it was a pleasure teaching you. It’s great when students are so obviously delighted and proud of the artwork they create as your beaming faces showed. It makes it all worthwhile. I hope to see you again soon. Denny x

We had a fantastic day ( myself and my two daughters) where we were given reign to our creativity but had all the help we needed from Denny. All materials are included in the price plus a choice of homemade cake!

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thanks, Julia, for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad you all enjoyed the day and I look forward to seeing you soon so you can complete your lovely kingfisher!

Had an absolutely fabulous day with my daughter. Denny was a fantastic teacher, who made it fun and very enjoyable. Neither of us had any previous experience but were amazed with the pieces of work we took home with us. The setting was beautiful as was Denny's lovely work that was on display. We will both be definetly continuing with creating mosaics. To cap it all the carrot cake was delicious.

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you, Jennie! Feedback like this is much appreciated. And glad to know you’ll both be continuing with your new skill! Hope to see you again soon.
Best wishes

I can highly recommend this course.

We were given such a warm welcome and Denny is a lovely teacher - encouraging, informative (and very very patient!). The venue, a garden studio in a lovely setting, was well set up and comfortable. The pace and length of the day felt just right, it was never pressurised but was enough time to make something nice.

I have been dabbling in mosaics once in a while ever since 2006 and I can honestly say the mosaic I made on this course is the only one I am completely happy with - I love it! I'm feeling very inspired to continue with the style I learned and I will be returning for the intermediate course soon.

And I don't eat cake but I am reliably informed that it was delicious.

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Alex! It’s very gratifying to get these sort of comments and to know you enjoyed the day. I look forward to seeing you and Rosemary again soon.
Best wishes

A fun day mosaicking! Denny is a great tutor, and creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in her workshops. The Beginner’s Day is suitable for all abilities, including those who (wrongly) think they’re not creative.
Great cake, too!

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you, Kathy. Glad to hear you enjoyed the day including the cake! Hope to see you again sometime for the next stage.

Really enjoyed this one day workshop where I made a small abstract mosaic piece of wall art.
Denny offers a lot of advice throughout the day and I would recommend this course for anyone wanting to try mosaic for the first time and wanting to leave with something to show for it and enough knowledge to make something simple at home

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you Clare! So glad you enjoyed the day - I enjoyed teaching you and your friends. Hope to see you again one day. Denny x

Thoroughly enjoyed the day course. Am always a bit wary of joining classes when going by myself. I was joined by 3 ladies...sisters/friends who were lovely. Denny made everyone welcome and relaxed. The home made cakes were a lovely touch and much appreciated.Enjoyed it so much am booked in for 2 more days in Oct and Nov...Really pleased with the picture I much so have another one in the making.I had dabbled with mosaics before but felt I needed the knowledge of the finer points and finishes...all of which Denny advised me on...

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you, June, for taking the time to write this review. And a nice one too! Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Denny x

I thoroughly recommend this course, a relaxed friendly and enjoyable day. Denny made everyone feel welcome, she has a fantastic wealth of knowledge and nothing was to much trouble, will certainly be signing up again. She also provided some yummy home made cakes !!!

Response from MosaicXandMe:

Thank you, Denise, for taking the trouble to do a review - and a lovely one too! I enjoyed the day too and meeting you, and hope to see you again at another workshop or crafternoon.

I went with two friends and had a lovely time. We were all beginners, but each of us had a professional-looking piece of work to take home at the end of the day. I'm no artist, but mine's on the wall and guests have actually asked where I bought it!!

It's a very friendly, relaxed workshop, but at the same time Denny obviously knows her stuff when it comes to mosaics - AND baking; the cake was absolutely yummy and it'd be worth going for that alone :). She helps and advises without taking over, and you just feel really well looked-after in every way.

There's also a huge range of materials available, from tiles, stained glass, mirrors and beads to pebbles and seashells from the local beach, plus all the tools and safety equipment you could need. You can even bring broken crockery that means something to you, and turn it into art.

I can't recommend this course highly enough. It's a really lovely way to spend a day.

This is an excellent workshop, very well taught and which enables you in one session to take home a piece of mosaic work fully finished. Denny's teaching is fun and full. It is lovely to see her own work and then be let loose on an array of lovely tiles and glass. Mosaic combines art and craftmanship but this is an activity for all abilities.
