Donna Trett reviewed: Pottery throwing sessions on the potter's wheel in Norfolk

"Wonderful experience. Pat was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am a wheelchair user and Pat did everything she could to enable me to take part. You do need to be partially ambulatory and take a carer with you as the seat to the wheel is static."

Pat Southwood responded:

"Many thanks, you made some good pots! , I'm really pleased that you enjoyed yourself and that all the practicalities worked out O.K."

Andy Lawrence reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Had a lovely day making my very wonky looking hare (down to me, not Jo). Incredibly well organised. All materials were pre-measured and pre-cut which really helped the day run smoothly. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a great day and it has left me feeling inspired to do more. Even though I am a "materials nerd" I discovered new products which I hope to use in my own work as a puppeteer. Jo was an extremely welcoming, kind and encouraging teacher and I would highly recommend anyone to go on this course. Added bonus were her two lovely dogs!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"??? I loved your wonky crazy hare Andy! Thank you so much for your heart warming comments and hope you find the new material ideas useful for your fabulous puppets. Jo x"

Helen Sykes reviewed: Creating Art with Sea Glass and Sea Treasures

"I absolutely loved the one day Sea Glass Workshop with Seacycle Studio which I attended on 6 March. Lovely group of fellow "artists" and Shanine was lovely. Knowledgeable, welcoming and entertaining. And the lunch! Well, white bean soup was nutritious as well as delicious, and it was accompanied by salads, cheesy toasted breads, crudites and a multitude of home made, delicious cakes and brownies. Everyone left with a fabulous piece of artwork - even me, and I am renowned for not liking what I have made at the end of a craft workshop! All in all a very enjoyable day, and great value for money. Just wish I had been able to book one of the lodges - they looked really interesting . . . maybe next time :-)"

Tiny Homes Holidays responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind review Helen, you have made our day!"

Chris Sheppard reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"I was given by my wife as a Christmas present, a one day course in wood turning from Blended Monkey. It is always difficult for her to know what to get me and, with my abilities to be practical she thought it would be a good idea. Well she wasn't wrong, I loved it! I had no preconceived ideas about how the process worked other than I knew roughly what was made on a lathe, this in mind I couldn't wait for the day to arrive. Once I had booked a day for the course, I was kept well informed about what would happen on the day and assured that COVID guidelines were in place, should I have concerns. I was warmly welcomed by hosts Louise and Simon on my arrival and taken to the wood turning room and offered a drink with biscuits, the first of many through the day. Simon then went onto talk about health and safety and the equipment we would be using and told me not to worry about remembering everything, as detailed notes would be emailed to me the next day, The notes incidentally were very in-depth and repeated in print, the whole day which is and will be a great help going forward. We started on the basics and by the end of the morning I had produced a honey drizzler which, I don't mind saying without being big headed, was amazing for a first attempt. Lunch followed and here, I have to say a big thank you to Louise who, after being made aware of my dietary preferences beforehand, this being plant based, served up a lovey platter of sweet and savory offerings. Onto the afternoon and Simon went on to explain the next project which was a bowl made out of cherry wood. Again The process was explained and by the end I had produced a lovely bowl which again, I am really proud of and looks beautiful. I am hopefully going to retire in a couple of years and am seriously thinking about investing in the equipment to give me a great and totally enjoyable pastime when the great day finally arrives. To finish, I would thoroughly recommend this course with Blended Monkey, you will not be disappointed. Many thanks to you both. :-)"

Tracy Robinson reviewed: Beginners Watercolours & Cream Tea Experience (minimum booking is for 2 people)

"My friend and I wanted to reconnect with art and found this class on line. It was a wonderful 2 hours learning art techniques in a very relaxing studio. We not only managed to produce a lovely picture, it also felt we had a mindfulness session of unwinding from the daily stresses of work. Amina was very engaging and supportive to help us learn and feel relaxed, she worked at our pace and gave us tips as we moved along the session. The room was spacious with lovely smells of homemade scones to finish off the session. Loved the whole experience and we will be back for more. Big thanks Amina :)"

A.S.K Art & Pottery Gallery & Studio responded:

Sue reviewed: Silly Seagulls - stained glass workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed my glass workshop with Gigha and the other ladies who attended. I was a complete novice and did not take to glass making naturally but with Gigha’s patience and excellent tuition, I was able to make a lovely mobile in the end. I will definitely return as I now have the bug. The venue, lunch, refreshments, duration of course were all spot on so I would recommend this to anyone who has seen glass made by other people, give it a go you might surprise yourself! Sue"

Ronnie reviewed: Enamelling on silver - Cloisonne

"I attended the one day course this week and absolutely enjoyed every minute. Lynette is very patient, explains clearly the techniques involved and also backs this up by demonstration. I had a particular design in mind and whilst it was ambitious for a first attempt, Lynette provided the support throughout and allowed me to overrun slightly in order to complete. I fully recommend this course to anyone as no matter what specific knowledge you have, (I had zero) Lynette will make the day extremely fulfilling. The piece I made was of particular meaning to my sister who loved it so much she was in tears, it's beautiful. I look forward to returning someday with my daughter who I know will also enjoy the course. Thanks Lynette."

LCEnamels responded:

"Hi Ronnie Thank you for such a lovely review. I am so glad that your sister loved her gift. I look forward to meeting your daughter if you are able to return for a joint workshop"
