"What an amazing day. I cannot believe we all produced such beautiful hares in a day. Jo is an excellent teacher, she takes you through the process step by step giving you the confidence to produce some lovely work. This was my last years Christmas present and one of the best. I would certainly recommend the course and with Christmas coming an ideal gift."

Jo Garden Art responded:

Holly reviewed: Basic blacksmithing course

"Absolutely brilliant day in a real working forge! My partner & I went along to a 1 day ā€˜basic blacksmithing course’ for my partner’s birthday and it was fantastic! We both came away with blacksmith knives that we can’t wait to both use & display. I needed quite a bit of help as I’d never done anything remotely like blacksmithing before but both Joss & Gary were more than happy to help at every single stage. We couldn’t recommend this course more! 😊"

Mel Beaumont reviewed: Fascinator Hat millinery workshop

"I had a fabulous morning learning from Elena, her workshop is cosy and personal. Elena is so easy to get on with, the conversation flows as does the coffee! I'm an absolute beginner in the craft and her passion is addictive. I made a beautiful piece, and learned a lot of skills in the few hours I had there. My plan is to practice fascinators for a few months and head back to the workshop to learn about felt work with her. I would highly recommend this course, thank you! "

Jane reviewed: Beginner's Quilting Day "Wonky Donkey" with Sew Forest of Dean

"What an enjoyable and informative day I have just had. I came away not only with the knowledge and tips on how to make my first quilt but also knowing a lot more about how to use my sewing machine (which I've owned for years), the best threads to use and how to cut fabric accurately. Jen was an inspirational teacher and at the end of the day I couldn't wait to plug in my sewing machine at home and do more sewing. I will definitely be signing up for another course run by Jen (the cake was delicious too!) "

Sew Forest of Dean responded:

"Hi Jane, thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review, very much appreciated. I'm so pleased you got so much out of the day, Have fun finishing your quilt, I can't wait to see it all done! Happy sewing, Jennifer "

Chrissy reviewed: Mosaic workshop at Jackie Nash Art

"Outstanding day! My friend & I had never done anything like this before. Jackie put us at ease immediately. We liked the small group approach, there were 3 of us. Jackie helped us work through the ideas for our individual projects, which were a table top daisy plaque, outdoor robin to hang on fence, and coasters. Jackie’s workshop is an Aladdin’s cave, absolutely every colour/shade mosaic tiles etc. Jackie was an incredible coach, the time went so fast, great conversation, hospitality, refreshments and I am now a banana cake convert. Will do again. Brilliant day & experience. Would highly recommend. "

Jackie Nash Art responded:

"Thank you for such a lovely review. It was pleasure working with you. And very pleased you now like banana cake. 😊"

"Thank you Ian it was lovely to meet you and to work 1:1 during some lovely Autumn sunshine. I’m glad the result met your expectations and you have a fantastic piece for your garden. "

Ken Bone reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"I had a great day on Tony’s 1:1 MIG welding course. He has a wealth of experience to impart and is a very personable and patient tutor. As a novice, I left wanting to weld scrap metal together at the first opportunity. The course was conducted in a clean, tidy and well organised environment and was well worth the course fee. I won’t hesitate to go back for more tuition if my skills need further refinement."

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Thank you Ken for the great feedback, I am so happy you enjoyed it and the course has given you the welding bug to create things from metal with the new skills that you have gained. All the best Tony. "

Ann reviewed: Needle Felt a Robin - with video tutorial

"The felted robin kit was a delight to make. There is plenty of wool to make several robins. I copied the design onto tracing paper before I started so that I could reproduce the design on my own fabric afterwards. So far I have made three robins! The video tutorial is first class. It is well filmed, very clear and friendly, and speeds up from time to time when a technique is being repeated so you don't get bored or have to fast forward yourself. I would thoroughly recommend this kit. It also arrived very promptly. Thank you! "

Gwen’s Felted Paintings responded:

"Hello Ann. Thank you so much for your lovely review! It’s hugely appreciated. I’m delighted that you enjoyed it and that you managed to make use of your extra wool :). Please do let me know if you have any questions about felting 😊"

Alex reviewed: Make your own hand sewn leather item

"Can't recommend this course enough for anybody wanting to learn about leather crafting and get some excellent hands on experience. Sara was extremely knowledgeable and I learned so much more about the leather process and working with leather than I was expecting to. The instructions given were clear and Sara was very attentive in correcting our technique, offering advice or just generally chatting about leather craft. After spending the morning learning different construction techniques the process of making our item (the passport holder in my case) went very smoothly and I was very proud of what I was able to create at the end of the day. A great experience all around and I'm looking forward to my next solo leather crafting project using the skills I have learned on this course."
