"I live in the same village as Ernie, it is brilliant to have such a great tutor right on my door step. I went to his “Open Art Studio” in the summer. He was so friendly and inspiring that I decided to embark on a six week, one half day a week course on a one to one basis. Fantastic! As I had not used oils before and I particularly wanted to do portraiture, Ernie really tailored our classes to exactly what I needed. He is so knowledgeable but completely put me at ease and I can now say why was I so nervous about using oils, they’re brilliant. He has also given me a lot more confidence in my portrait drawings skills. I shall definitely be doing more classes after Christmas. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy practicing my new found medium. "As a complete beginner to leatherwork, I wondered how much I would enjoy the day. I did not need to have been concerned. Rosanna is a very skilled leatherworker and an excellent teacher. Over the day I managed to create five pieces of work that, although not always perfect, gave me a level of ability and enjoyment that was beyond my expectation. If you fancy a go I would strongly recommend Rosanna's workshops."

"This course was a lovely experience that I received as a gift for my 60th. The morning was spent woodturning with Simon, who explained everything really well and I came away with a completed honey dabber. Lunch was amazing and it was then time for an afternoon of pottery with Louise. Everything was explained and taught really well and during the afternoon I learnt pinching, slab building and throwing on the wheel. I look forward to collecting my pots and vases once fired and glazed. Overall a really lovely day."

"My mum, sister and myself did the Powertex Gnome course just yesterday. Jan was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Jan gave us clear instructions and was on hand to help and guide us to make our best possible models. There were lots of embellishments available to use and lots of ideas to make our Gnomes one off’s. I would really recommend this course for all levels of experience for a few hours of messy fun. Thanks Jan, you were great 😊 "
