"Loved every minute! When we arrived we got given cups of teas and had a chat through our designs and how we could achieve them with the tools of the workshop. Then we chopped, sawed, heated, hammered and soldered some silver into a necklace and some earrings. We are very proud of our creations, and felt very welcome in Bridget's lovely little workshop. "

"I had an amazing time learning to sew on this course. Caroline is a kind and patient teacher, whose enthusiasm for sewing and sharing her knowledge made the day absolutely fly by. I'm so proud of my finished blouse, which I wouldn't have been able to do without her help and guidance. It has now given me the confidence and skills to start making shirts of my own. Lunch and refreshments were tasty and it was a pleasure getting to know her. I would highly recommend this course."

"What a wonderful day. Amanda made me and my daughter feel welcome from the minute we arrived. She is so knowledgeable and informative. We learnt how to cut glass and use a pattern. Next we used the grinder to help smooth out our glass. After that we learnt how to apply the copper foil round our glass. Then a break for lunch which was delicious. In the afternoon we learnt to solder our pieces together and came away with three lovely pieces each. I highly recommend this course. Thank you Amanda."

"This was great! Stephen was such an expert instructor and his project was perfect for the day. I was very pleased with my piece and learnt so much. The location was excellent and we were surrounded by examples of beautiful stonework to appreciate the skills involved. "I live in the same village as Ernie, it is brilliant to have such a great tutor right on my door step. I went to his “Open Art Studio” in the summer. He was so friendly and inspiring that I decided to embark on a six week, one half day a week course on a one to one basis. Fantastic! As I had not used oils before and I particularly wanted to do portraiture, Ernie really tailored our classes to exactly what I needed. He is so knowledgeable but completely put me at ease and I can now say why was I so nervous about using oils, they’re brilliant. He has also given me a lot more confidence in my portrait drawings skills. I shall definitely be doing more classes after Christmas. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy practicing my new found medium.
