This is a one day Silver Jewellery workshop can be run on either a weekday or weekend, whatever suits you.
The workshop is for beginners, or people that have a small amount of experience who wish to develop their skills.
The day will include an introduction to the tools in the workshop, that will be used throughout the day and Health and Safety procedures will be discussed.
The course is usually run on a 1 to 1 basis, but I can have a maximum of 2 students on any one day. This gives the student a more thorough designing and making experience than you would get from a large class.
We will discuss the design that you wish to achieve and develop this design into a unique piece of jewellery. Techniques will be taught such as how to cut, shape and solder silver, if your design requires it. Finishing and polishing will also be included.
You will be encouraged to use your imagination in designing and making your own piece of Jewellery. Prior to the day I will need to know your design ideas, which will then enable me to order in the Sterling Silver that you will need to make your design.
Metal can be purchased on the day at an extra cost, this will be charged at the daily rate. If any jewellery findings are required, these can be purchased also.
Good quality jewellery boxes are available to purchase, if you require them for your piece of work.
(No recycled metal, such as old jewellery, that is no longer worn etc, can be used on the day)
Prior to your chosen date, for the workshop, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the day is required to secure the workshop date.
Discounts are offered for 'block bookings' and returning students.
What's included in the price?
All my tools and equipment will be at the disposal of the student.
A light lunch and all drinks are included in the price.
Please let me know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
