Finishing your jewellery is a skill that takes time to master. There are specific steps to make sure that your work is finished to the highest of standards. A high mirror shine is difficult to achieve. My step-by-step tuition will give you the fundamentals to achieve that in your workshop or home. I will take you through the fundamental stages to a mirror finish in copper, brass, silver and gold. You will be using bench polishing machines and high quality compounds. All materials, compounds and equipment will be provided. Be prepared to get very messy. Bring a packed lunch with you as well as closed toe shoes, hair tied back and safety eye wear and face mask.

We are situated on the edge of East London and Essex. The studio is easily reached by the M25 junction 29/30
The local train station is Ockendon with regular trains from London Fenchurch Street (The Tower of London) and Southend. The station is approximately 30mins walk from the studio.
The 370 London Bus is a 10min walk to the studio.
We are situated in a small industrial area with ample free parking.
Nearest Airports are London Southend and London City. Stansted is also accessible by road to us.
Expect very small groups, expert teaching and the foundation to your skill set. Practice is really important when making jewellery you’ll be able to leave the studio and return home with all the knowledge you need to practice the skill you’ve been taught.
You will be taught by Sappho. She has over 20 years of experience in the jewellery industry. Fully qualified as a bench jeweller in Londons Hatton Garden. Sappho specialises in remaking for people bringing their old jewellery back to life as well as bespoke commissions.
We are situated in Essex on the outskirts of East London. It’s only 30 minutes from the Tower of London to South Ockendon by train.
