Mike reviewed: Lino printing landscapes

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course last week. Although I have experience of creating mono linoprints, Lee explained the process of colour reduction linoprinting so well I now have the confidence to try colour printing in my own studio. Everyone on the course produced some lovely prints to bring home with them. A very relaxing but productive day."

Sarah Backhouse reviewed: Saturday silver clay jewellery workshop at Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin 1.30pm - 5.00pm

"I attended Tuuli's silver clay workshop at Ransom's Pavillion, Hitchin. The workshop was a birthday gift - the process of booking with a gift voucher was very straightforward. Before attending I received helpful instructions about where to go, what to bring and what to expect. The workshop was a small group of 6, plus Tuuli. We were all made very welcome, and Tuuli started with a friendly intro to the course and what we'd be doing. The workshop was hugely fun and rewarding. We learned so many techniques, and I particularly enjoyed using the blowtorch! We practised making our pieces first before being let loose on the silver clay, which I found very helpful. The clay itself was easier to work with than I was expecting, and the finished pieces were delicate and very pretty. I was delighted to be able to make three small pendants plus a pair of earrings, which was more than I was expecting - basically we were given a set amount of clay, and could do what we wanted with it, some made a single ring, others like me made a few items. At each step Tuuli gave a very clear explanation, and took the time to show us (sometimes repeatedly!) how to do something - I really appreciated her patience and friendly manner, especially when I held things up a bit when trying to get my earrings to match (sorry about that!). The pace and content of the course were perfect for me as a beginner - however I think it would also be fine if you do have some experience and had a piece in mind that you wanted to make. I would definitely recommend Tuuli's workshop - the whole experience was simple, fun, inclusive and rewarding, and I'm absolutely delighted with what I achieved. Definitely good value for money too. Thank you. "

Tuuli Parker responded:

"Sarah thank you so much for such an in-depth review! I really do appreciate the time it took you to write this and the detail you covered. I'm so pleased to hear your thoughts and that you are happy with what you made - your pieces came out beautifully! Kindest regards, Tuuli"

Gill Rice reviewed: Stained glass weekly classes in Sheffield (South Yorkshire)

"I have just finished the Monday night course and have signed up to go back after Easter! Martin is a great teacher and he has thought of everything! You make 3 items in total, following a template you make a stained glass panel using foil, then a second leaded panel before completing your own project under Martin’s expert guidance. Everyone has their own tools and dedicated work space. There are full colour options when choosing your glass for your first two projects, and an abundance of glass available on site if you need to purchase any for your own project. Everyone is so friendly and interested in each other’s work. It’s an amazing atmosphere at the sessions. Martin explains each stage very clearly and is very encouraging. Nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend!!!"

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, I look forward to seeing you again next term."

"I had an individual one day course with Rosie. It was such a fantastic experience, way beyond the level I expected.
