Suzan Hassan reviewed: Calligraphy for Beginners in Bournville Birmingham

"Great introduction to the art. However it is very time consuming and because I run a health coaching business I realised I have ' bitten off more than I can chew ' at the moment, but may well come back to it when I have more time to devout to this practice."

Amaryllis reviewed: Introduction to spooncarving at Hill End

"A great day carving a spoon. David gave very clear instructions and helpful advice all day while we carved our spoons. So exciting seeing them take form.😉"

David Knight Woodland Crafts responded:

"Thanks so much for attending the course, Amaryllis, braving the road closures around Oxford and for your positive review! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the process of seeing a functional spoon emerging from a branch of green wood. Every time you cleave a piece of wood you are the first to be able to consider the opportunities within. I hope you'll never look at a branch blown from a tree in a storm in the same way again. I'll send details of our Bodgers groups and I hope you'll continue your carving journey."

"Get to know your sewing machine course - great day course in a modern venue with a lovely teacher. I also have a much better understanding of stitch selection and some of the techniques involved in cushion and bag making! A great day course which gave me the introduction to sewing that I was hoping for. Thank you very much Judi I wouldn't hesitate to book onto to more courses with you!"

"My daughter and I decided to join Sarah for a reflective morning. We are coming to terms with the loss of a dear husband and father and we made very special pieces using a small amount of his ashes. Our pendants, ring and other items are wonderful, very subtle. So intimate, rather than sending away to someone else to make. Thank you "

Through Scott and Sue’s incredible patience I learnt to use many power tools efficiently in order to build a multi-purpose box, AND I learnt different painting/oiling/waxing/burning techniques whilst making a jewellery hanging shelf. It is a brilliant course, not only informative but confidence building. I can’t wait to get started at home now. Highly recommended. "

The workshop space is tranquil, the food was delicious and super happy with our spoon and spatuloon 😂. Both me and my husband had a fantastic time and would highly recommend. Pip Hughes reviewed: Sculpture workshop two days with Jo Garden Art in beautiful rural Norfolk/Suffolk border setting

"Thanks Jo and Andy I loved the 2 day workshop. We had so much fun and I came home with my abstract horse which I am very pleased with. This is the third workshop I have been on and have had such a great time at every one. You get just as much help as you want or need so I have more booked. The atmosphere is so good and refreshing. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Pip - looking forward to seeing you again this year! Your horse was wonderful, with a slightly tilted head which added so much personality. I would have been very happy to give him space in my garden (but I doubt you would part with him!). Enjoy the changing colours you see on the copper patinated finish after rain and sun 🤗😘 Jo xx"
