Sue Lynch reviewed: Watercolour Christmas Cards Workshop

"A lovely festive course which my friend and I enjoyed as a couple of hours of escapism. A gentle introduction to watercolour painting with an enthusiastic and professional host. Downside was the slightly out of the way location we found quite difficult to find and entry across a bit of a muddy pathway but would go again "

Carol Smart reviewed: Lino printing Christmas card workshop

"I did the Lino printing day with Penny one year ago. She is such a great teacher - very patient, generous with her time and also with her lovely home-made cakes, tea, coffee which are frequently being offered! So I very much wanted to return. Lino cutting and printing is such a satisfying & rewarding craft. I love doing it and we produced 10 lovely Christmas cards and can also print as many as you like onto paper. It's also set in a lovely studio. I highly recommend you do a course with Penny. "

Pennybadgerprintworkshops responded:

"Thank you so much Carol for that kind review, it was lovely to see you again! Best wishes Penny "

Mandy K reviewed: All day jewellery workshop experience with Silv-r Designs

"This is the second course that I have been on with Ali. The help and guidance that you received is second to none. She talks you through every step, giving you different options, helping you decide which method/style works best for your piece. There is so much to learn in jewellery making and Ali showed me so much more than expected. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to design and produce something that is unique and individual to you. "

Tobyn H reviewed: 'Wallet in a Day' Practical Hand Stitching Leather Course - The Slim Card Wallet

"The wallet in a day experience was fantastic. Georgie was a great teacher, not only in helping us throughout the day to make our wallets, but also in answering all our general leather and craft questions, which showed how talented and knowledgeable she is! The wallets we all made looked fantastic. I made a tiny mistake at one point but Georgie was able to help me correct it so that it is completely unnoticeable in the final piece, and doesn't affect it at all. The overall day was 10/10 and I'm already considering a future course or trying some leather crafts at home."

Zhaleh Bahraini reviewed: Building and weaving a simple stool at The Quiet Workshop

"This was a birthday gift to me as I am interested in carpentry and making my own furniture. I was a total beginner, my partner was somewhat experienced. I am neurodivergent; I found the workshop was really fantastically laid out, the instructions were clear, calm and well paced. A good balance of support and leaving to get on in silence. The breaks and snacks provided were well timed and very well thought out - providing sustenance and joy as they were delicious! I have an allergy which was very well catered for. The final result of the stool itself is outstanding - it has replaced my desk chair! It has great support in the side and front panels, with the weaving itself being really sturdy but providing good cushioning. They're thoroughly used in the house! The content of the workshop and both Stjohn and Bryony made the weekend really special. We can't wait to come back for either the same workshop (we want a set of four stools!) and/or a different one. Missie reviewed: Further Fused Glass Techniques with April Pebble

"Hi, I bought this course as a gift for my hubby. It all went really well, he had a great time being chatty with other people and he learnt some new techniques he didn't know for working in glass. He said that the tutor April was interested and supportive and the space was lovely and safe. My only gripe was that he didn't come home with anything as it takes 1 day to fire and another to cool, but hey-ho that's working in glass for you. We did return two days later to pick up and everything was lovely including the lovely coffees and apple flapjack in the cafe. So Thanks April, that was a lovely birthday gift for my hubby."

April Pebble responded:

"Hi Missie, thanks for booking Scott onto the Further Fused Glass workshop! I'm so glad he enjoyed his day and that he's learnt some new skills working with glass. He was a pleasure to have in the workshop, it truly was a lovely day :) All the best, April "

Lou of Leeds reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"Loved it! We achieved so much. Great teacher, very calm and patient and knowledgeable. Fantastic location, lovely to drive nearby. Really fun course. We started with cutting glass - something I was nervous about but all of us were good at under her guidance, then decorating later on. We were on a Christmas themed day so made and decorated a star, made a dish, a coaster and a pair of earrings and tree. We came away feeling knowledgeable on the subject, like we'd achieved a lot but that it wasn't rushed through, it was all at a good pace, even had a bit of stollen and alcohol free mulled wine. Yum!"

Mandy Hendry reviewed: Further Fused Glass Techniques with April Pebble

"I absolutely loved this course with April. For anyone interested in glass then I would highly recommend any of Aprils courses and she is a very knowledgeable and organised teacher. This course started at 10am which gave me Perry of time to drive there from Bristol and it finished at 4pm with a break for lunch. You can either take your own lunch or buy lunch in the beautiful little cafe next door, either way the cafe allows you to take your own lunch in, which I did and I bought a drink and a cake as well as some beautiful reserves. We made 3 artefacts with April during the days course, a coaster, a wall hanger and a leaf infused piece, I was pleased with all the pieces I managed to make and thoroughly enjoyed making them all. There was a great selection of glass and April was very professional in her knowledge and health and safety instructions of working with glass. I would highly recommend this course to anyone starting their journey into wanting to learn more about glass infusion. April is also a trained artist working in all areas of glass making and runs other courses in stain glass making, copper glass as well as more advanced work for those wishing to continue after this foundation course. Thank you for a lovely day April. "

April Pebble responded:

"Thanks for attending the Further Fused Glass Course Mandy! It was a real pleasure to have your easy going self in the workshop that day and so glad you had a great time! Your pieces turned out really beautiful, especially loved how the fossil vitra turned out :) Hope all goes well running workshops in Spain! Warmest wishes, April "
