Clare is an excellent tutor, friendly, informative and explains everything in great detail and is most helpful. In fact I could just keep on attending her courses! My friend, Jenni, who accompanied me this time also found the course extremely fun and thoroughly enjoyed herself too. We left with beautiful shades with many thanks to Clare.😊"

Ali reviewed: Copper Foil Stained Glass Workshop in The Cotswolds - Gloucestershire/Wiltshire/Oxfordshire Border

"This was a Christmas gift from me to my mum and we attended together. What a lovely day! Comfortable surroundings, kind and patient tutors and a relaxed atmosphere. At a time where more people are seeking experiences rather than ‘things’ to give loved ones as gifts, this course and others like it are just brilliant for ensuring we put the time aside to spend with each other. A joy to spend a day mindfully engaging with gaining a new skill. Many thanks indeed!"

Robin Evans reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"From the warm welcome we received at the outset in the beautiful surroundings of Paul’s home, to the friendly farewell we were given, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the fused glass course. Paul’s extensive professional knowledge of glass work, styles and techniques, colour and design were conveyed to us in a simple and effective manner without it feeling patronising. His experience and clear teaching methods led us all, with our differing knowledge, to achieve success with our projects. Throughout the day, Paul played the perfect host making copious amounts of tea/coffee and even providing a freshly made lunch. We would highly recommend him as a personable, skilful tutor. "

"A very enjoyable day in a very relaxed location. Jo is an excellent tutor explaining everything very clearly. Having only 6 students gave everyone plenty of time with Jo and use of the equipment. Paul Turner reviewed: March Hare Ceramic Sculpture

"Lovely, lovely course, amazing setting, ample tea/coffee and cake. We are really thrilled with our creations, good instruction, plenty of equipment available. Our only negative would be, we felt a bit rushed, so could have done with another half hour to get the basic body shape just so, then all the attachments, heads, legs etc. would have fitted on in a less panic stricken way."

Eve reviewed: Beginners Upholstery Workshop in Preston, Lancashire - Make a Footstool

"Great one day introductory course. I learnt so many small things which, when put together, have made other projects so much more professional looking. I would have preferred to make a much larger footstool, however, my four year old granddaughter loves the one I made and has put it in her ‘den’. The course leader was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help and answer any questions. I would be happy to do further courses with her. Thank you Jo!"

The Boho Shed responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Eve. I’m pleased you got so much from the course and now feel your work is now more professional. In order for the course to work, everyone needs to do the same size stool but now you have the skills to make any size you wish. I look forward to seeing your lovely future creations. Many thanks again for your kind words. 🙏😊"

Ieuan & Bryn reviewed: Maille making the traditional way

"Both myself and my brother had the pleasure of attending one of Phil’s courses last week. Couldn’t have had a better time! A great day that started with some history, and expert knowledge from Phil with some amazing examples and finished pieces of maille that we got to handle and even try on! Then it was time to get hands on and boy we really got stuck in learning the whole process from drawing the wire through to drifting and riveting our own rings. Throughout the day it felt both relaxed and fun with conversation flowing between the group, Phil and his partner who made sure we all felt welcome. I’d absolutely recommend this course to anyone with an interest in maille."

Phil Parkes Maille responded:

"Glad to hear that you both enjoyed it so much and looking forward to seeing how you get on with making your own maille at home. Always here for advice on tools and hints and tips! I'm thinking through what might be included in an advanced course as we discussed on the day, so keep an eye out for future courses. Thanks for the positive feedback."
