"We just attended the frameworks bead making course by Kim. It was a fantastic course. Kim is a very thorough and patient teacher. She puts you at ease and we would highly recommend her. We made some fantastic beads for various pieces to take home. "
" Lovely to have seen you and your lovely friends and family. You made some beautiful beads, clearly very artistic and creative, and your review is much appreciated, many thanks x"
"We had a great afternoon with Marie-Paule and would highly recommend it. I, my wife and my daughter did it, we are enthusiastic but not natural artists but she was patient and encouraging in helping us pick a design or firm up an idea. It was only us 3 on the course this afternoon so she was on hand for prompts, observations and positive input. We each came out with something distinctly different that made the most of our individual talents and passions. As a measure of how it went I was so engrossed at one point that we had spent an hour and a half building the scenes and I hadn't noticed the time flying by."
" Martin, Dawn and Steph, thank you very much for your review. You were great fun to work with, and i thoroughly enjoyed teaching you. Happy birthday again! I wish you the very best with your future mosaic and artistic pursuits.
"My partner and I really enjoyed our candle making workshop with Rob.
He was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the different processes, wax types and had lots of things to show us.
We had the opportunity to make a range of candles which allowed us to learn different techniques.
The session had a lovely and relaxed feel and he was great to chat to!
Would definitely book again!
"I had a great day with Sandy at Athlestane Forge. He is a great teacher with endless patience and enthusiasm. He took time to show me different tools and equipment in the forge giving me confidence to use them myself. I would certainly recommend this course and hope to go back soon to try out my new skills."
" Thanks, Kate! It was a pleasure to teach you, we will get the candle holder finished up next time!"
"The video instructions were faultless; very explicit and the wool worked exactly as Gwen the instructor was telling us and couldn’t be improved. The package of wool was very generous and I was able to make, as she said, four more. I would emphasise, as Gwen did, in taking your time when doing this work. Although this was my first needlefelt, I have worked with textiles; sewing machines; needles etc. So anyone who’s never picked up a needle before will be able to do this if they listen carefully about ‘use of the barbed needle’. Thoroughly enjoyed doing the work and will certainly be buying from Gwen again. "
"This is a great introductory course for anyone wanting to explore working with enamel. As Lucy said using enamels is a bit like baking and it's possible to produce finishes pieces relatively quickly. By the end of the day I had several sets of earrings and pendants to take home.
Lucy will show you how to choose and combine enamel colours and how to apply these to your pieces (I used a mixture of copper and silver blanks) All the pieces are fired on the day and ready to take away.
A very enjoyable and rewarding day."
"Really enjoyed my day with Fiona and covered a whole raft of related subjects too. Very knowledgeable and patient tutor!! "
Shropshire Weavers responded:

"I booked a 10 day course with Ed as I wanted to refine my mould making techniques. I gained invaluable knowledge and skills to help me with my journey in a professional and personal capacity.
During my time, we critiqued drawings and discussed ideas, refining them into elegant forms. These discussions were extremely beneficial as I was able to resolve design issues with someone who has worked in industry.
Ed is an incredible being. He is passionate, knowledgeable and talented. Everyday day was met with a smile and a positive attitude. Graceful and delicate in his approach to working, Ed’s manner put me at ease and filled the studio with a relaxing vibe. The workshop is amazing, the setup is smart, full of creativity and has a lovely atmosphere where you can immerse yourself in the creative process.
Overall, it has been an unforgettable and invaluable experience. I would 100% recommend Ed for tuition!"
"This was a great two day course. Tina was well prepared for beginners and excellent at explaining the stitches. Stephen provided excellent tuition in spangling bobbins - now I know where I went wrong! Tina went above and beyond to help me and I left with a neat piece of lace and a determination to carry on learning."
Tina Pedrick - Bobbin Lace Teacher & Maker. responded:
