Phil Sutcliffe reviewed: Fused Glass - Circle Art

"Another fantastic course at Crafts in the Valley. Melanie is a terrific tutor, who carefully explains the process of creating the glasswork. This is our families annual Christmas crafting experience and the reason is because of the way Melanie inspires our creativity, her patience and her expertise in the glass fusing. Melanie also makes a very enjoyable mulled wine. "

Julie Mayes reviewed: Women's Woodwork Workshop

"Fabulous, fun, informative and thoroughly enjoyable course. Jess was such a good teacher. Although I am not a complete novice to woodworking I learnt such a lot. Set in a lovely barn with a separate kitchen and WC and surrounded by the grounds of the beautiful Glanmedeni. We had plenty of projects to choose from to make and each finished item was unique thanks to a choice of wood. Jess has infinite patience and is a kind, gentle and knowledgeable tutor. Definitely recommended. You will be amazed at your finished piece!"

Glanmedeni Ltd responded:

"Thank you for your kind words Julie, it was such a fun day! Keep practising and hopefully see you again next year! xx"

"I attended a soap making course run by Wendy at The Little Craftery and had the best time. The course was really informative but a lot of fun too. I got to take home a large block of natural soap that I made that, once cured, I can use myself or gift to family and friends. I would not hesitate to book another course at The Little Craftery. "

Ruth Salem reviewed: Fused Glass - Circle Art

"Beware Melanie's workshops are addictive ! I took early retirement in 2022 and attended Melanie's Beginners Fused glass workshop. What an amazing experience, three years latter I am an avid fused glass addict .Regularly attending the makers Mondays workshops to satisfy my creative side . Melanie is so supportive in her teaching methods, enabling students to learn and be creative at their own pace. Melanie is always there with words of gentle encouragement and suggestion's if you wish or you can just do your own thing ! The classes are small enough for Melanie to give her time freely to everyone , drinks and goodies are plentiful. Time passes so quickly ,the studio is light airy and full of beautiful handmade items .You are surrounded by items which naturally lend themselves to bringing out your creative energy .Spending time with like minded fellow workshop guests brings out the best in us all . I have no hesitation in recommending Melanie's workshops , take that first step and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. "
