"Excellent teaching style, Toni covered a great deal of hands on instruction about the techniques of enamelling in a friendly and engaging manner, was very well prepared and equipped, and was able to answer all of our questions. We are very pleased with all that we learned and would definetly recommend this course to others, both beginners and those with some previous experience."

Cristina & Richard reviewed: Spoon carving course (1 day)

"This was one of the best workshops I have attended, really beautiful working area, friendly company and lots of new techniques to learn. I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend who is a beginner in spoon carving and he absolutely loved it, learnt so much and felt that it really enriched his passion for this hobby. Equally, David was helpful with those who did not have as much experience, supporting us at every step whilst not putting pressure on the process. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience particularly for those who enjoy crafts, a nice walk in the woods and meeting new people. "

The Coppice Plot responded:

"Hi Cristina and Richard, It was great to meet you both and I’m delighted you enjoyed the course. Thanks very much for the review and happy carving!"

Ashish Singal reviewed: Introduction to Woodturning - Full Day

"Had a great day woodturning with Rick. Just realised it is a lot more difficult than I ever appreciated and very actually intricate. Rick was a great teacher. Had a full days tuition with a great lunch provided by his wife. Allowed me to get on with it but helped out when needed. Highly recommended and it definitely has got me interested in picking it up as a hobby. Thanks Rick."

Kati reviewed: Blacksmith Experience Day (4hrs)

"What an experience! I hadn't done anything like this before, so wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Dan, with a great mix of patience, humour, helpfulness and explanations, was able to turn this into one of the easily most enjoyable new experiences I've had so far. Not only did he strive to get the best out of all of us and create a real sense of achievement, but he ensured that we all left with one pretty and functional item, and one decorative one for the fun of it. It's been educational, useful and entertaining, and I cannot wait to book onto the next course."

IAStudios responded:

"Hi Kati, It was a pleasure to have you and I really pleased you enjoyed yourself. Thank you so much for attending and you kind review. it was a great course. "

Yanli Zhao reviewed: 'Bag in a Day' Practical Leather Course - Mini Bucket bag

"I had a wonderful day making a bucket bag with Georgie. I had no experience at all beforehand and no idea what to expect; but from choosing the leather, to the completion of the bag, I loved absolutely every minute in her workshop. Georgie was very welcoming and friendly, she was very patient and knowledgeable, showing us every little step throughout the day. I have been using the bag ever since, it’s been a great talking point with family and friends. The more I wear it, the more I’m in love with it. I would recommend Georgie’s workshop to everyone and I’m sure I will be back for another course. Thank you Georgie!"

Diana and John reviewed: Canal Roses

"Neither of us are artistic, except for painting large areas - walls! This was a gift for Christmas and since it was quite a distance from home, we both attended the course and made a day of it - seeing Anne Hatherways Cottage, which was next door, after the session. Vanessa was very patient with both of us and we did manage to produce a lovely colourful plaque each. The venue was perfect and Sophie made us drinks and showed us around this new art hub, with plenty of light and airy rooms and the massive garden. They were both very enthusiastic about the place and it's potential. Vanessa provided everything that was needed and was full of encouragement. We are going to try another art session with her at a later date. She is an excellent teacher and full of praise when we managed to correctly do the right paint strokes! At the beginning, she explained about how canal painting was done, always odd numbers of painted flowers/leaves on a piece (never even), the colours used, over painting strokes to give depth and that anyone can paint anything for in or around the house and garden. Thank you for such a lovely experience."

The ARC Shed responded:

"Dear Diana John Thank you for your kind words and such a lovely review. Feedback is always very much appreciated and it was my absolute pleasure to meet you both and teach you the delights of painting canal roses. You created two lovely plaques and the comments on my social media posts all agree, so well done! Keep practicing and I really look forward to seeing you both again in the not too distant future. My very best wishes, Vanessa x"

"Amazing course. I had to leave a review now and I still have 2 more days left. One of the most welcoming families on the planet. Feeding you refreshments and unlimited drinks. Brendan reviewed: Lucy Churchill's Stone Carving Workshops

"What a wonderful three days. Lucy is a fabulous host, great listener, tutor and source of inspiration. She understood exactly what I wanted to achieve and guided me through every stage. Her methodical approach, instruction and encouragement has given me great confidence. If you are a complete beginner wondering ‘should I… shouldn’t I?’ then you should, you will not be disappointed! The small group of three really lends itself to learning and provides a great opportunity for conversation and laughter. Hearing the experiences and thoughts of other students was also an important part of the learning experience. Plenty of cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee to keep us going! Thank you Lucy and thanks to the other students. "
