Create fabulous & festive wire and paper birds in Derbyshire

Apologies in advance for mentioning anything that is even vaguely festive, but makers do need to plan ahead and create lovely festive opportunities for you. To get your festive to do list firmly on track, join Liz Wellby and learn how to make beautiful birds using vintage papers and wire to decorate your home this Christmas. There’s every chance that your little flock of birds might keep you company throughout the winter months, as you just won’t want to them pack them away with all your other Christmas decorations. If you can part with them, they will make lovely gifts. Join Liz Wellby at her beautiful studio on the edge of the Peak District. The Slipper Studio is beautifully presented with handcrafted workbenches, a wood burner and views down into the village. About the tutor Liz Wellby is a versatile and experienced artist, teacher and maker, with a particular interest in sculpture and printmaking. Following the completion of a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough University and subsequent post graduate studies, she returned to Derbyshire, where for over 25 years she and worked. Liz now lives on the edge of the Peak District, working from her home studio, kept company by her husband and a cat called Bert.
