Really enjoyed the weekend - learnt so much just in a few hours! Am totally inspired to continue painting for local exhibitions and friends. Such a lovely group of people on my weekend! Hoping one day I can make the Greece trip - how lovely!!🤗

Fantastic weekend, couldn't have been better. Beth and Vicki gave us 110%! So encouraging, supportive and hands on helpful. They certainly packed a load in, we worked hard and got great results. Thank you so much, I feel like I have started on the most fantastic journey.

This is the 2nd time I have attended a weekend course and it definitely won’t be the last. I cannot recommend it enough. Vicki and Beth are brilliant, the hotel is excellent and the painting is so relaxing and great fun. The course is suitable for all ages and all abilities, including those who have never picked up a brush before. Go with your friends, family, partner or on your own - just book it you will not regret it!

Wow I had an unbelievable day!! Thoroughly enjoyable and great way to escape the hustle and bustle and focus on some art. Beth and Vicki are amazing they helped me soooo much and made me feel soooo welcome. I was only a day guest and was gutted to leave. I didn’t want to go!!! I am 100% returning to do a full weekend. Great set up, all the equipment was ready for us, all set out, the camera on a Vicki was a brilliant idea to follow the tips on your art work. When I got home my family and friends were amazed at the quality of the Art I produced. Thanks again and I want to do it every weekend xx

This was a birthday gift given to me by my daughter who joined me on this excellent weekend in this beautiful country house hotel. We were joined by a mixed ability group of friendly people for this two day art course. Vicki and Beth were very enthusiastic and gave us much encouragement in producing quick pleasing results.

Brian Thomas - - #23566

I took part on the watercolour weekend at the flackery ash hotel in Peasmarsh. I learnt many new techniques, in a comfortable friendly surroundings. I highly recommend the experience

I booked this course as I’d become dispirited with my painting. The course is run by two lovely people, in a comfortable hotel with good food and friendly, but efficient personnel.
Vicki’s enthusiasm and teaching has reignited my enthusiasm for watercolour painting. It was fun, but very informative and I have no hesitation in recommending this course to all abilities, including beginners.
I’ll be returning.

Sarah - - #22516

The course was the perfect mix of fun, sociable, and informative and the instruction from Vicky and Beth was great. The hotel was lovely with really nice food and helpful staff. I learnt loads and came away with a few paintings to be proud of!

Christine Robins - - #22515

Myself and two friends went to the painting weekend recently. I can only say I give it 10 out if 10 on everything. Hotel lovely, food and staff excellent. Vicky is a great teacher, patient and taught us so many different ways to paint. The class atmosphere is fun and we all got to know each other over meals etc. I’m not a natural artist but now have the confidence to paint my way, as Vicky and Beth encouraged us to just paint and enjoy ourselves. I cannot fault the course at all, I just wish it was for longer. We will definitely go back.

This course was very enjoyable. It was fun and we learnt a lot. Vicki was a good teacher and Beth was also supportive. We produced a lot of work and even complete beginners were very pleased.
The Flackley Ash Hotel is in a lovely location , near Rye, with good facilities and the food was very good. My non- painting husband enjoyed the break too.

Sarah and David - - #21736

Had a lovely weekend. Pace just right for beginners like us. All equipment provided. Patient and constructive teaching. We were pleased with our efforts and came away with a determination to continue and improve. Great venue, spa hotel too. Close to the coast and Great Dixter Gardens which made for a great weekend break.

Jane Marshall - - #21720

I had a great weekend with Vicki and Beth. Both very approachable, friendly and informative. The painting was great fun as was the meals with the whole class. Vicki helped people of all stages of their painting abilities and we all seemed thrilled with the experience. Would definitely come again. Greece next hopefully. 😊

I was very nervous the day we started the course as I had gone on my own but I needed have been they were plenty of people on the course who had never painted before or like me were beginners the teachers were brilliant nothing was to much bother they helped everytime it was needed even when I had to keep asking. They made you feel relaxed and nothing we did was wrong just a learning curve. We were supplied with everything we needed as well as food and drink all through the weekend. The hotel was lovely again everything was supplied plenty of wonderful food and drink. Added bonus was the use of all their facilities for free. Loved the pool and jacuzi and a very clean, warm and comfortable room. I would deffinetley recommend this course and great value for money.

Barbara Marks - - #18485

This was a fantastic weekend. I really enjoyed the course. Vicki and Beth were great tutors and I learned a lot. The course catered for all abilities and it was amazing how much we accomplished in a couple of days! I am already putting my newly acquired skills and knowledge to good use. The venue was also excellent. I thoroughly recommend this course.

Jacquie Easton - - #17465

Brilliant weekend, would highly recommend it, suitable for all ages and abilities, groups, couples, singles. I had not picked up a brush in 30 plus years and was super nervous. But I needn’t have been - Vicki was a brilliant teacher. Will definitely be looking to attend other events or workshops in the future.

Tracey Newland - - #8012

Excellent course, informative with demo's and painting tasks that increase in difficulty as each new skill is learnt. Very well organised. Warm and friendly environment, suitable for couples, singles and groups of friends. Vicki is a great teacher, who will also help throughout the day and show you how to rescue painting disasters! Enjoyed this immensely - my thanks to Vicki and Beth for a wonderful weekend.

Carol Hayward - - #6271

I went to this course with a friend who is a beginner at w/c painting. We thought the organisation of the classroom , provision of all materials and teaching were excellent. We were taken through all the techniques and watched demonstrations before attempting to copy examples. Even as an experienced painter I found new things to learn but if you want to do your own thing this may not be for you.
The hotel is very comfortable the food very good and it has pleasant gardens. There is also an indoor pool and spa where we enjoyed a few treatments in our spare time.
Vicki and Beth have put a great deal of thought into the classes and are experienced teachers managing to give everyone personal attention.

Janet Purvis - - #6256

This was a fantastic weekend. Not only were we taught many skills and given access to all materials, but also a comfortable stay in a spa hotel and great food was included! Vicki and Beth were very helpful and encouraging and made sure everybody felt welcome and supported. I really enjoyed the weekend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Had a fantastic 'Art & Spa' weekend. I've been twice now and learn a whole load of new skills each time. I go on my own and come away with a great many new friends. Great for both novice and experienced artists. Lots of excellent food in a warm, comfortable and friendly hotel. All your needs catered for, especially lots of laughter!

Maureen cameron - - #6211

This has to be one of the most enjoyable courses I have been on and learnt lots of new tips. Vicci and Beth were really helpful and friendly and made everyone welcome. Cathey Hoenes - - #6110

Was asked to go on one of the Art Weekends by a friend and despite being awful at school in Art was up for a weekend away. What an unexpected delightful time we all had!!! Lovely venue & fantastic teachers in Vicki & Beth who made the whole art experience wonderful. Cannot recommend this Art weekend enough. As a complete water colour novice, I'm hooked and go to the weekly art classes in Broadstairs. No matter what age, sex or experience I'm sure that you will enjoy this weekend

Sara Gibbs - - #6101

Great weekend for beginners and beyond...excellent tuition and Vicki and Beth give loads of support, this course is loads of fun and it's a really lovely venue, also such good value for money.
