About the Course
Both beginners and experienced students will be able to create their own stained glass projects guided by artist Sharon Campbell.
As a beginner or as a refresher for those with experience, you will learn about the techniques involved in making a stained glass panel, cutting glass, leading and soldering.
Whether you are interested in experimenting with a variety of techniques, or designing your own panel, I will be able to guide you through this process.
Sessions will be focused but relaxed, limited to 4 students, so students have quality time with the tutor.
There are 9 sessions running weekly on Monday evenings 6pm - 9pm. There will be a break at half term. Please contact me for the full schedule of dates.
The cost of materials is not included (apart from the first 2 sessions when learning or refreshing skills) and are priced separately. These costs can vary depending on the size of the project and the choice of glass. It is possible to spend as little or as much as you decide.
Due to Studio storage space, the size of each person’s project is limited to roughly to 45cm x 60cm. If you have a specific project in mind please feel free to ring first to ascertain its suitability for the course time and the available space within the studio.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Refreshments of tea, coffee and herb teas with biscuits are included.
All tools, goggles and aprons are included.
I started off as a complete novice with Sharon and developed a real love for the medium as she guided me through challenging projects and encouraged my inner creativity. Over six sessions in two years I have completed a lampshade, three large panels, a candle holder and a small Victorian grid style panel in both lead and copper foil. The classes are always relaxing and social but Sharon keeps a good tempo so everyone walks away with completed projects at the end of term.
Whether you're looking to explore the magic of stained glass, learn a new skill or switch off for 3 hours from your daily grind every Monday or Wednesday the course is great value. Highly recommended and I look forward to my next session!

Response from Manchester Stained Glass:Hi Tina,
I thoroughly enjoyed the evening course and saw a real development in my skills over the 9 weeks. Sharon is a knowledgeable, patient and fun teacher, who recognises the importance of safety as well as allowing her students some independence. We had the opportunity to make stained glass panels to our own designs using either lead or copper foil technique.
I heartily recommend Sharon's courses for all budding (or just curious) stained glass artists.
