Introduction to Glass Fusing with Enamels - 'Inspiration' Full Day Workshop

About the Course
What does it involve? Our ‘Inspiration’ full day workshop is the perfect choice for those who are less confident to design the artwork themselves, as Steve has come up with the ‘inspiration’ for you.
You will make up to three wall panels of 25cm x 25cm. You can choose from the designs shown on this page, which Steve has already produced. He will show you how to recreate one or more of these in the glass, using stencils that have already been prepared.
Some designs are easier than others, and Steve will talk you through the options. The harder designs are those those that require more shading with the enamel powders, which is a skilled technique that Steve will show you.
You could choose a different design for each panel, or you might like to create two or three different versions of the same design to form a diptych or triptych display, depending on which you level of difficulty you choose. Steve will discuss with you on the day what is achievable.
Your finished panel(s) will be fired for you overnight, ready for collection the next day (or we can send it to you via courier for an additional charge if you are not able to collect in person).
Who else will be there? Places will be strictly limited to five per workshop to allow everyone ample access to Steve’s expertise.
Can I bring a friend? To allow everyone plenty of space to work only those paying for a place will be able to attend during the day; however your friends and family are welcome to come in at the end of the day to see the fruits of your labours before your piece is fired in the kiln, and again the following day for the grand kiln-opening!
Where is it? At Steve’s fully equipped studio just outside Totnes in the picturesque South Hams area of South Devon.
Where can I stay? We will be pleased to do all we can to help you make the most of your visit to Devon. Please just ask if you would like details of recommended accommodation in or around Totnes.
How do I book? Call us now with your card details to secure your place, or you can book online on our website. Upon receipt of cleared payment we will write to you confirming your place.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
