This half day advanced fusing course provides an opportunity for creating vitrigraph stringer for use in other projects. Using a specialist wall mounted vitrigraph kiln, you will pull molten glass out of the kiln and shape it as it emerges, forming your own stringer. Your haul of stringer is ready to take home the same day.
Vitrigraph stringer is a versatile and exciting addition for any glass fuser. The multitude of free-form lines, curves and swirls created through this process allows you to introduce some dynamic and unique aspects to your work. It's so satisfying to pull your own stringer and the design features you can then include in your glass will help you to create individual and unique pieces.
Due to the nature of this process, the class is restricted to a max 2 students per session, sharing a pot.
It is possible to extend the course to a whole day, where one pot is pulled in the morning, followed by a project using the stringer, then pulling a second pot in the afternoon, in another colour. The cost of this extended day is £150 per person.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All materials, tools and firing is included in the cost of this course.
Refreshments are provided. If the extended option is taken, then students are asked to bring along a packed lunch.

I've been on a few glass courses with different tutors so Bev included making vitigraph stringers on a full day's course with me as it was something I had never tried. Bev has so much knowledge that she just loves sharing with others whether they have no experience or lots. I learnt loads from her and had so much fun making the stringers - I was amazed by how many we made. When Bev says bring a big bag to take them home she means it!
Overall I loved my time with Bev and now need to find an excuse for another day with her.
Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Lol - yes a large box or bag is not an understatement! So glad you enjoyed making the stringer and I can't wait to see what you do with it!! Thank you for the lovely review x
I had so much fun on this course hosted and taught by Beverley at her studio. Bev was friendly and welcoming, gave clear and concise instructions, guiding myself and my son through the entire session. The best thing of all was my enormous stash of green vitrigraph stringers that I left with. I highly recommend this session. It’s definitely one I intend doing again.
Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thanks for your lovely review Hope! It was great to meet you (and your son and mum!) It's always so nice to meet other glass fusers and chat glass!! Glad you enjoyed it and I've loved seeing what you've made with the stringer on your instagram page!
This was an absolutely superb course! Beverley is so lovely and makes you feel very relaxed right from the start. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and learnt a huge amount and Beverley is really experienced and knowledgeable and open to sharing what she knows 😀
I can guarantee you will not be disappointed if you go on this course and will be wanting to go back for more!
Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Aaaah thanks Amanda - well I guess since you've now done this twice, that's testament to how useful vitrigraph stringers can be for glass fusers!! Thanks for your lovely review x
