Margaret Jones reviewed: Handmade canes, beads and jewellery from Polymer clay in Bedfordshire.

"I had a wonderful day with Bernie learning new techniques with polymer. She has a wealth of experience and is very happy to share those essential tips and techniques which take your work from passable to magnificient! Although Bernie had planned our session from our early discussions, she was also happy to follow up a particular interests as I have been working with clay for a while now - we covered mica shift and how to use an extruder properly (I am never making bullseye cane any other way!), natasha canes and finishing techniques - and all with a sense of fun and exploration together. Lunch was delicious homemade soup and bread - I can't recommend a day with Bernie more highly - thank you for a real treat of a day!"

Treasunique responded:

"What a delightful and creative day we had Maggie, and thank you so much for your review, so very kind. So glad your hubby picked up on something you wanted to do! It was fun sharing those things with you, as you have great aptitude for polymer clay. I am looking forward to seeing your future projects and do send me some photos please :) Just playing around with different designs and coming up with something brand new was a surprise too!! LOL I hope you will remember everything, as you know you just have to ask!! Thanks again and God bless Bernadette"

Tamsin Preece reviewed: Fabulous fused glass jewellery for beginners

"I attended the beginners glass jewellery course in January and it was fantastic. Eleanor was a patient and informative teacher who took the time to ensure everyone in the group was secure in each technique before moving on. We had ample time to create our own pieces and while we were given free reign, Eleanor was on hand to offer advice and assistance. I’m so proud of my finished pieces and I can’t recommend this course highly enough. If you are considering booking, do it. You will not regret it, and you’ll have a load of beautiful glass jewellery as well!"

Eleanor Designs responded:

"Hello Tamsin, Thank you so much for your lovely review - it was great to have you on my course at Rainbow Glass Studios and to see your own fused glass jewellery ideas take shape so beautifully! I have to congratulate you on your newly learned glass cutting skills and the great care you took in the design and making of your pieces - really well done! I hope to see you again at a future course! Best wishes - wear your new jewellery with pride! Eleanor"

"A fabulous three day course with expert tuition and wonderful hospitality. Lucy's teaching is perfect - providing guidance whilst allowing each student's own ideas to develop and flow plus she is an excellent host providing regular tea and cake and delicious lunches combined with interesting conversation! I had no prior knowledge or experience of stone carving, but with Lucy's guidance I was able to produce a carving of which I am very proud! I would recommend this course without hesitation."

Beth Downes reviewed: Level 2 Advanced FURNITURE PAINTING Skills Workshop Intermediate/Advanced (1 Day) - Lancashire

"I recently attended the beginners furniture painting course and I absolutely loved it! The woman who runs it, Jo, was very warm and welcoming and she did an amazing job with showing us all some great basic techniques with which to apply to the pieces of furniture we brought! You can really tell that she puts so much effort and love into what she does and its obvious in the advice she gave me when it came to painting. She made me feel like my piece wasn't just a work she thought would be good and was very keen to work around what we each like in terms of colour, style and texture! And that's just talking about the course! The venue itself is a beautiful little gem of a cafe - easily the nicest I've ever been to - where everything from the aesthetics to the staff to the variety and quality of the food and drinks provided is truly top notch! I imagine this review probably sounds kinda cheesy but it's only because of how much I enjoyed the day! To anyone who wants to paint up that old table in the shed or want to spruce up a picture frame, you would be mad to not give it a go!"

The Boho Shed responded:

"What a really lovely review Beth, thank you so much. I really enjoyed working with you in helping you to develop your skills and go home with a gorgeous piece of transformed furniture. You did a fantastic job!"

Alison Robertson reviewed: Introduction to silver clay jewellery making

"This entire day was a delight. The working space, in Lynn's home, is gorgeous, and enormous thought and care was taken over every aspect of the experience. Delicious snacks and lunch! The excellent tuition and guidance from Anna helped me make earrings and a rose mould, and I am definitely inspired to do more silver clay. Fantastic value for money, I had a lovely time, thanks so much Lynn and Anna."

The Arienas Collective responded:

Most of all we love that you've been inspired to do more silver clay! I hope to welcome you back soon, and I will make sure Anna has seen this too. :-) With best wishes Lynn"

Rhiannon Norfolk reviewed: Jewellery from reclaimed copper

"Brilliant course! Lesley was very helpful by email when I had questions before booking the course. She'd also sent very useful information before the course to help find the studio and to make sure that we could dress appropriately (especially as the studio is difficult to heat). There were five of us on the course, some of whom had done jewellery making before and others who were new to it. Lesley balanced her teaching so that it was appropriate for all levels of experience. She taught us how to use reclaimed copper wire and pipe to make a bracelet and either a pendant or earrings (some people managed to make both). She explained and demonstrated clearly, kept an eye on each of us and made sure that we were OK with what we were doing. She answered all sorts of questions and gave a lot of helpful hints and tips. I'm delighted with the pieces that I made and hope to do more courses with Lesley in the future."

Ellie reviewed: Blacksmithing course one day: Red Anvil School of Blacksmithing

"Having been given a voucher Craft Courses voucher for my birthday I could have chosen one of many different experiences to try - I am so glad I chose this one. Richard shares his wealth of experience, teaching without prescribing, giving you the freedom to use your own imagination to create something special to take home. The workshop is full of a wonderful array of machinery and equipment enabling you to try your hand at a wide variety of skills - a real hands-on experience. The day was very well organised with plenty of refreshments and lunch in the local pub, which is a very nice touch. All in all, a brilliant day that I would highly recommend to anyone - go for it - you won’t be disappointed! Thank you very much Richard for a fabulous day."

Joyce Kay reviewed: Level 2 Advanced FURNITURE PAINTING Skills Workshop Intermediate/Advanced (1 Day) - Lancashire

"I would like to thank Jo for a brilliant introduction to furniture painting, I'm not very good at arty things but thought I would give this course a try and see what I could produce. We were provided with written, verbal and practical instruction and Jo was very supportive and helpful at all times. And so, we set about using our new learned techniques to transform our tired old pieces of furniture into some lovely items. The course is held in a large and comfortable room near the cafe where we ate a wonderful afternoon tea. I would recommend this course to anyone who is curious/interested in furniture painting and I am certainly going to try my hand at painting some furniture at home."
