Naomi reviewed: Paper Making - Hand Made Recycled Paper

"My husband and I had a great time on Wendy's paper-making course to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Wendy had everything so well organised, and she explained really clearly how to do each step, along with demonstrating it for us before we then had a go. We came away with some lovely pieces of handmade paper, and we plan to make some more here at home! "

Penny reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"I attended the stone sculpting course over the weekend of 6th/7th August. There were 6 of us on the course with varying levels of art/craft experience but all stone sculpting beginners. We started with the basics, the tools, how to use them and had a trial piece of stone to try them out on. Everyone had an idea of what they wanted to create. After about two hours Sebastian helped us select a stone for our 'creations'. The rest of the weekend was spent producing our piece of art with as much help from Sebastian as needed - I needed quite a lot! We had great weather so there was plenty of space to work in his somewhat quirky environment. It was great fun and everyone produced a sculpture that was more than good enough to display in the garden at home. I would definitely recommend this course."

"If you're looking for a wooden box making course/introduction then this is the one! Mark is a great tutor and has an excellent workshop. You get to learn a lot in 2 days and use a wide range of techniques and tools. Mark is very encouraging and gives you the confidence to do most of the work yourself. I was more than delighted with the box that I made, it actually looks professional! I'll hopefully be back for more courses in the future and in the meanwhile buy some tools to work with what I've learnt. Thanks very much Mark for such a great weekend; really enjoyable and relaxing."

Christine reviewed: Copper wire jewellery Workshop

"This is an amazing learning experience. Kamsi clearly knows her craft and has the experience and patience to pass on what she knows. Very thorough going through everything from the best tools to levels of difficulty. I am really pleased with my progress today, I have learnt so much more than by watching a video. I will be returning to upgrade my skills and try something new. A highly recommended course. Thank you"

Mya Designs responded:

"Hey Christine, thanks for a lovely review and it's been a pleasure to teach you. I'm so glad you found the techniques useful learning to curl and form the wire to wrap around the lovely gemstone you had with you. I can definitely see an improvement from the original picture you sent me. I love your final piece especially with the 3 sizes of coils you used around the bail, bringing delicacy and balance against the larger stone, beautiful combination! Thanks so much for coming to my workshop and hope your journey home was smooth. xxxx"
