1:1 Lampwork glass bead class

Student making beads
X

Description

During this experience you will be using my glass torch to work with molten glass and learn how lampwork glass beads are made. Using colours of your choice we will explore a range of decorative techniques to create your own unique set of glass beads in my studio. We will make a series of round beads with the option of trying a novelty mushroom bead, perfect as a cute pendant or to add to a on trend bead necklace.

We will be working with Italian (soda lime) glass using both opaque and transparent colours, melting rods, frit and 'stringers'. All materials and safety glasses are included. The workshop takes place in my self contained North London studio, 5 minutes walk from East Finchley tube station. Biscuits, hot and cold drinks are available.

Please note your pieces will have to be annealed overnight to remove stresses and can be picked up or mailed out to you from the next day.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?
