Lampwork Bead Making, a Taster Course

X

Description

This is a one-to-one workshop, so you will have my undivided attention to work safely. In this 3 hour workshop you will begin to learn how to make glass beads in a torch (using a flame). You will make some plain beads to start with and then a series of decorated ones in colours to suit you. This is a practical skill that requires many hours of patient practising so this is just a beginning but it is great fun to have a go. You can leave your beads with me to anneal in the kiln and clean up before either collecting them or have them posted. Please note that the glass can spit so I would advise against wearing a fleece as it melts (hard learnt from experience).

I have been playing with glass for over 6 years. I have gradually extended my skills to cover fused glass, lampworking, mosaics and stained glass - copper foiled technique. I love sharing my skills with others through my courses.
