Full day glass bead making workshop for beginners and improvers. Expert tuition from international artist Karen Redmayne BA Hons PTTLS. Classes are run from her Redcurrant Glass studio based in Pendle, in the heart of Lancashire. You will learn how to create simple glass beads from scratch. Using soft Italian glasses just like the Venetians use to create stunning lamp work glass beads. You will select glasses and learn how to wrap beads. By the end of the day you will have made a selection of glass beads which will be annealed in a kiln after the workshop. You will also learn about glasses, torches, health and safety in the studio, annealing and finishing beads. We also run other courses including silver jewellery making, stained glass and fused Glass.
