An introduction to glass lampworking, best for beginners. In this session you will learn the basics of working with soft murano glass on a Nortel Red Max lampwork torch, familiarise yourself with the tools, equipment and materials.
A full safety briefing will take place followed by demonstrations using each technique to be covered in the course. This is a one-on-one session so you will receive constant guidance throughout your time.
If you choose to have the beads made into a piece of jewellery or jewellery set, you will receive a 25% discount on the finished product(s) excluding the cost of the glass which is included in the price of the course.
The course takes place in my studio situated within a local craft retail shop in Nottingham's Sneinton Market, you can browse and buy work made by local artists and craftspeople once the course is finished. Finished glass jewellery made by Rosie of bden glass is also available to buy.

What's included in the price?
All materials and use of equipment is included. Refreshments are provided, and there are 3 cafes in very close proximity to the studio for meals. We are disabled accessible however the workshop requires you to stand for the 90 minute duration for safety reasons. An apron and safety glasses are provided and must be worn by the participant (if you have any sight difficulties, contact lenses are preferable, however, clip on safety lenses for normal glasses can be provided)
