"My daughter and I did a half-day lantern-making workshop with Wendy and had a real blast. I've done this workshop before and was thrilled to have another go to try and improve my technique. It was my daughter's first try at fused glass work but as an illustrator she had a grand idea and pulled it off under Wendy's guidance and tuition. Wendy is always so patient and helpful which results in lovely finished pieces for everyone. The studio is in such a wonderful setting, you can't fail to feel 'restored' after a visit and the fact that you come away with something you've made yourself (even though you wait for a couple of weeks for it to be fired - that helps build the excitement!) just adds to your sense of well-being and achievement. I can't recommend Wendy's workshops highly enough - they are a tonic for the soul!"

"I would throughly recommend this course for anyone wanting to learn the dark arts of knife sharpening. Robert was a great tutor, showing, explaining and guiding with clear and concise instructions. Where I was unable to follow a certain action, Robert offered another way that suited my abilities. Even though the course was for three hours, Robert continued on till I was familiar with the skills I required to sharpen my tools. Robert is a very knowledgeable and friendly person who made the course an enjoyable experience. "

I discovered that you'd left a honing stone some days after our sharpening night - it was camouflaged in amongst all the woody things on my workbench, hence it escaped our eyes when you were packing away your equipment! "Top 1-1 day at the forge. Really didn’t know what to expect as it was a present but really enjoyed. Super relaxed but informative from Jon. I made a lovely kitchen knife to the shape I wanted. I felt totally safe in his hands and picked up some bits pretty quickly while others took a little more guidance. Be prepared as it’s a physical on your feet kinda day but that’s what I was expecting. Can’t wait to use the new knife in the kitchen."
