During this course you will Measure, Cut, Prepare, Stitch & Finish a basic Bi-Fold Wallet. You will have the finished item to take home with you as well as the instruction pack & a pattern-set in the leather of your choice to practise in your own time.
The wallet design can be changed but please be aware that there may not be enough time to complete a more complex design during this session.
You will learn and have an understanding of the principles of the saddle stitch which can then be applied to other projects and are a good foundation on which to build.

Perfect introduction to leathercraft. Met with Nigel who delivered a well paced step-by-step walk-through of the thought processes, tools and skills required to take a project from concept through to final product. Left with a wallet to be proud of, and a new hobby for life.
Excellent course takes you through the basics of pattern making to turning it into a finished wallet. Good teacher on how to use the tools so that you end with a good finished peice. I had a brilliant day learning the start of a new craft
Just finished a solid days wallet making course with Nigel today and could not possibly recommend this man more. I was completely new to working with leather and the associated tools and after just one day with the man I now feel like I have a great starting point and base of knowledge with which to begin a lifetime of study. He couldn't be a nicer and more engaging person which obviously made time with him fun and enjoyable as much as invaluable in terms of the knowledge being taught.
Suffice to say I will definitely be making the 7 hour round trip to return to the Armitage workshop as many times as I can over the coming years.
Thank you Nigel.
Patient, extremely informative and well worth every penny. Can't recommend Nigel enough. He has been at the end of an email with advice ever since. Book now with confidence, you will come away with a mind boggling amount of knowledge and not regret time we'll spent. Make a meen cup of coffee too.......
