"As a self taught (YouTube!) DIYer, I realised that it was time to get some professional training before I had an accident! I found Marks course online, and thought it would be reasonably local and just what I needed. On the day, I was a bit nervous in case I wasn’t experienced enough, but I needn’t have worried. Mark was friendly and informative, and no question was unanswered. He let me learn at my own speed and helped when necessary, but left to make a mistake when I needed to, because that’s how we learn! I now feel confident in sharpening my chisels and planes, making some basic joints and he helped me to get confidence with my router. He is a font of knowledge and I will be returning to do another course very soon. Highly recommended. "

"I enjoyed the course very much. However, I felt that, the course would have worked better for me, if the practical and theory would have been separate, not altogether. It was clear that the teacher was knowledgeable, and was giving out information, but we had to be getting on with other jobs, so it meant that I wasn’t able to retain the information given. I feel that the time allocated to the course is too short. "

"I had no experience or knowledge about leather let alone the leather craft before booking this course and didn't really know what to expect but I was more than positively surprised. The course has theoretical and practical parts which are both perfectly executed by Bill! He provided a notebook and a pen ready for people like me who come unprepared and shared his knowledge in an easy and understandable way. He did answer all questions in depth and used practical examples to manifest knowledge. Note the practical part! I loved working the material leather and all the other components that come with it. Bill was always helpful to show how do it correctly and encouraged me to improve myself. He did give constructive critique without ever making me feel like I shouldn't be doing this in any way. Thanks to this outstanding Intro to the leather craft and Bill himself. I have gained a new interest in my life that I will try to pursue as a hobby and am hoping to come back to Bill to learn more in a later stage. Thank you Bill for your time and the fantastic course! Can recommend this course to everyone!"
