Description

Join us for this amazing WET FELTING workshop at the beautiful location of the Heron Corn Mill in Beetham in South lakes. The Heron Corn Mill is a working 18th-century water mill on the River Bela at Beetham. Learn the art of wet felting, enjoy fantastic experience of experimenting with colours, textures and shapes and create a unique piece to take home and cherish. You will have an opportunity to make a flat felt like a picture, table runner, or a cushion cover, rug, place mats or 3D felts like vessels, handbags, tea cosies, slippers. I will be also teaching fine Nuno Felting on silk chiffon or gauze so you can make beautiful scarves, shawls, ponchos or window pieces of fabric for the lampshades. Materials include merino wool tops, silk tops, nettle fibre, milk protein fibre and recycled sari silk ribbons as well as silk threads, wooly cypurls and nepos for extra texture and colour depth.
