"I took a very scratched veneered desk which Ollie showed me how to recover. A lot of hard work stripping, sanding, grain filling and building up lots of coats of finish. I wanted to lighten the colour and with his help have given it a much nicer appearance. He also showed me how to french polish a walnut coffee table which now looks like the day it was bought over 40 years ago. I now have confidence to use powered sanding tools and enough basic knowledge to have a go at home. I met other students and Ollie encouraged us all to learn about each other’s pieces. I would recommend anyone to take a course with Ollie and will save up to go again."

"Oh boy did we enjoy this workshop, so much so, we will be booking others in the new year. Tutor showed us what we needed to do very clearly, and if needed showing again, was happy to do so. Everyone was so friendly, and plenty of refreshments throughout too. Absolutely amazed at the outcome of finished gonk, I'd had a go almost 2 years ago following videos, a very big fail, so much better being shown. I'm most definitely hooked and looking forward to the next one, keep up the good work Natalie 😊"

The workshop is lovely light and airy and warm bonus !! I took a design I wanted to do hoping I could do it and Derek helped me achieve it so I was over the moon. "I had such a great day with Viv. I booked on alone and joined a group of 3 others. We had a great day together. Viv explains things clearly and the day starts slow with copper going through the techniques you're learning. At lunch I thought I'd never get the silver rings made but I made 4 rings really quickly as the instructions previously had been so good. I am really pleased with what I've made. Really recommend the course. We had tea and cakes in the studio and there are lots of places for lunch nearby (although you will want to be quick and get on with the fun). The only thing was the studio was cold. It was one of the coldest days in December so to be slightly expected as it is a studio in a fairly old building. Didn't distract from my enjoyment but maybe wait till spring if you feel the cold!!! Viv - thanks so much! "
