The facilities at Sallerton Wood enable you to have a great experience learning the ropes whilst having fun. The only problem you'll find is how quicky the time passes due to how enjoyable it is! "This was a great course for an introduction to spinning (with a drop spindle) Wendy got us up and running very quickly whilst also giving us really helpful insight into different types of fibres and how they behave as well as the things that we might follow on with if we wanted to do more spinning after the course. Learnt lots of techniques, well demonstrated by Jonathan at first, then he guided students -practising first in copper and then applied these new skills to produce a final piece in silver. Workshop is petite but perfect - good range of tools and equipment. Lots of pieces around for inspiration. The cake is certainly yummy! Very accommodating tutor."

I love the fact that you have left some of the willow wreath exposed, which is a great feature, especially as you wove it yourself from scratch.
