Tony Epps reviewed: Introduction to green wood furniture making - two days

"An excellent two days that took us from logs to beautiful furniture. There was superb teaching with support and advice available at all times. I went as a complete novice and left with a real sense of achievement. It was amazing how relaxing it was working with traditional tools and crafting the wood. If you are even remotely interested I would go for it, you will be pleased you did."

Peter Lanyon Furniture responded:

"Thank you Tony - I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Really good to meet you."

"My wife got me this as a xmas gift. Probably the best course ive attended. Very relaxed atomosphere..... Sue Patten reviewed: Beginners Course in Stained Glass

"I really can not praise Chris and Pauline of Wold Stained Glass enough. The course itself was in depth and very informative. The time absolutely flew by and I learned a lot. In addition the hospitality was fantastic. If I had to give marks out of 10 it would have to be a 20 on all fronts."

Andrew Smallbone reviewed: Basic automata and mechanical toy making

"The tutor, Stef, was very organised contacting me in plenty of time to arrange The Day with does and don'ts. On the day of the course, which was just Stef and myself, he explained Health & Safety and then we started the build. The workshop is big enough. All the tools were clean and he unwrapped new hearing muffs and goggles for me. Whilst I chose to build what looked to be a simple fisherman it did in fact take until 5 pm to finish with lunch eaten on the go. Stef was at pains to make sure that I made all the parts and I was instrumental in putting it all together at the end. I also had to paint the fisherman. Stef tried his hardest to make sure that I enjoyed the day. I had a fantastic day. Stef was easy to get on with and he was very attentive to the construction and my wishes. The course was bought for me as a birthday gift. It was brilliant. I’ve now got an automaton Thankyou Stef"

Penlan Crafts responded:

"Thank you Andrew for your kind review. I am very happy you enjoyed building your mechanical toy. It was a pleasure working with you! All the best"

Stuart Tucker reviewed: Glass blowing for beginners with Jon Lewis

"Such a great day, I had been looking forward to trying glass blowing for a long time and the course did not dissapoint. A cleverly designed day to take you from making pebbles to a coloured vessel. Lots of hands on time closely monitored by Jon. Glass is such an amazing and difficult medium to work with and yet I ended up with some beautiful pieces to take home. Brilliant. Thankyou."

Wholeheartedly recommend this course and know that any course with Jo would be very fulfilling. I'll certainly be buying friends gift vouchers for this in the future. Thank you for an awesome introduction to silver jewellery making! xx"
