Lucy Kay reviewed: Colour for ultimate well being: Retreat in Nature

"What a wonderful day spent in the beautiful surroundings of Lucy's home and garden. The yoga and meditation sessions were fabulous - and different to anything I've experienced before. The discussion around colours and how they relate to our mood, personality, emotions and chakras was fascinating. It really slotted in nicely with how the different colours of foods support different areas of the body. Nice little introduction to herbs and their colours and properties too. Overall it was just a gorgeous day. It felt very much like a retreat, time for me, time in nature, time surrounded by colour, lovely people and nutritious, beautiful food. I would highly recommend Lucy and this course."

Lucy Renshaw responded:

"Thank you Lucy, a very kind review. Hope to see you again soon x"

Soniya reviewed: 6-week online Botanical Art course with Live tuition. (Some experience in painting and drawing is recommended)

"What a fantastic online course ! I loved it so much. I has discovered my passion - painting with soft pastels! It is such an enjoyable, vibrant medium and very forgiving! Raya gave us a great introduction into various pastel techniques and guided us through exploration of different pastel papers and types of pastels. It was great fun as well as informative learning experience! I have created some beautiful landscapes and floral compositions as well as animal portraits with pastels! I can't wait to do more courses with Raya. Thank you so much!"

Alan reviewed: Alien spoon carving

"I spent a very pleasant day recently on a 1-2-1 spoon carving course. In addition to the carving itself we covered related topics such as selecting and sourcing wood, design, tool maintenance and safety (no blood was spilled). The course format importantly allows the student to follow Alan's steps closely and get instant feedback. At the end of the course, by way of inspiration and the benefits of continued practice, he produced a beautiful spoon he'd carved discretely while I was focused on my own whittling."

I can thoroughly recommend it."

"fabulous day doing the landscape textile class with Imogen in her wonderful craft studio. We walked along to the local mill to soak up the atmosphere and get ideas and then returned to plan our work. It was a lovely, creative, inspirational day. Imogen was generous with her knowledge, fabric and advice. Highly recommended for both beginners and advanced textile artists and sewers."

Julie Webster reviewed: Private or private group silver jewellery making / silversmithing workshop day at Silver Designed Personally

"I signed up for a 1-1 day workshop and had the most amazing day! Sara was warm, personable and very thorough in explaining processes and techniques during the day. The studio is situated in a stunning environment and fully fitted with all necessary tools and equipment. As I had hoped to make a pendant and a ring, I was delighted that there was time to make the pendant in the morning and after a light lunch, had time to make a spinning/meditation ring during the afternoon. Sara works with you on your design ideas and has an extensive range of raw materials to work with. Her studio was immaculate and a very clean, professional working space. The session was totally hands on so you really feel that you have made your pieces at the end of the day, from design, cutting out, filing, soldering and polishing. The atmosphere was very relaxed and would totally recommend either a half-day or full-day session. I am already thinking about what I can make on my next visit! The jewellery world is your oyster - you can enjoy making earrings, bracelets, pendants, rings, etc. Totally recommend this workshop as, unlike larger classes, you gain personal attention where Sara will work with you on whatever you choose to make and you can work at your own pace with guidance as and when required. I had such a chilled day and already looking forward to another workshop. Also, if you love pooches you will be in double heaven; if not, don't worry, Misty can have a day off from helping in the studio."

Silver Designed Personally responded:

"Julie Wow - that's an amazing review thank you so much for taking the time to write in so much detail. I had a really lovely day with you too and absolutely loved what you made - so original..... AND some of the best piercing skills I have seen for a beginner. Great job! Looking forward to seeing you again some time soon. Sara (& a lick from Misty)"

Tish reviewed: Blacksmithing - one to one - Hammer Skills

"Couldn’t recommend the course more. Bought as a present for an iron sixth wedding anniversary experience and we had a great time. Bob was a great, patient and funny teacher who managed to keep a watchful eye without being too overbearing. The instructions to find it were spot on and chippy lunch was just what we needed. Plenty of brews throughout the day to keep us hydrated. We were both so pleased with what we came home with and are so thankful to Bob for this!"
