Lucie reviewed: Oval shallow basket for the garden at New barn at Usk Castle Chase,Monmouthshire

"I loved this course and it's setting and it was great being amongst like-minded people for the day. Amanda was a great tutor. The pace was intense but Amanda was always on hand to guide you and was very encouraging. You were never made to feel pressured, despite the pace. It takes some skill from tutor to get that balance! We all left with a finished basket and smiles on our faces."

Alyssa reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"Not only is this a fabulous art to learn, but you also have the joy of an exceptional teacher. I've done several courses of differing types relating to crafts / jewellery and metalwork but rarely have I had the support and care of someone like Sally. She understood the capability of the individuals in our very lovely class and helped them to create beautiful items. I will be back for an intermediate / advanced course as and when I improve my skills. Delightful day and very happy with my creations. Thank you."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Alyssa - it was a pleasure to have everyone in the workshop in such a friendly, supportive group. And you all made such lovely, individual pieces too. Look forward to seeing you again soon! Sally"

Ben Gillias reviewed: Introduction to woodturning: one to one

"I had an introductory session with Bill as I'm very keen to take on woodturning as a full time hobby. It turns out (pun intended) that it's not quite as easy as I thought it would be, but Bill is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher and has a great way of relating woodturning techniques to seemingly unrelated topics to help you understand. Bill's wood shop is the perfect environment to learn and if I had one like this at my home, I'm fairly certain I'd spend more time there than in my actual house! I left the the day with a great little sycamore bowl and even an even greater motivation to buy my own lathe and get turning. I'll be heading back to Bill's workshop for an intermediate course once I've had a bit more practice at home. A superb course ran by an altogether pleasant chap. Thanks Bill."

"Last week I attended Jo's Candle Making as a business workshop and it was BRILLIANT. So eye opening and educational. Jo has such a wealth of knowledge and experience and she was able to answer all of the questions myself and the other attendee had. I learnt so much in the 4 hours which totally sped by and created some fabulous candles also. Now I have so many ideas and experiments to try and I truly cannot wait. A massive thank you to Jo for her professionalism, passion and generosity! Thank you Jo, I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone who's looking to make candles."

John Gibson reviewed: Creative Machine Stitching

""Helen is clearly a very talented sewing tutor who knows her stuff and is able to impart her knowledge in an interesting and lively manner. I have thoroughly enjoyed her class this morning as Helen demonstrated every aspect of the making of bunting from start to finish - that was so useful for me, as each stage was explained and shown. As a complete novice to this sort of thing, I felt quite nervous about doing it but Helen was brilliant at building my confidence and allaying my fears. Helen enabled me to believe in my own ability and I was able to see clearly what I was expected to produce. All aspects of Health and Safety were covered to ensure that I was safe during this project. Above all, Helen was comprehensive in her delivery and was able to field questions on any aspect of sewing, from equipment, tools and materials even down to the best thread to buy. It would be great to see her offering other courses and I, for one, would enjoy doing another one. I have been totally inspired by Helen's approach to the point that I am now hooked on watching 'The Great British Sewing Bee" - a programme that held no interest for me until I met Helen. Now I absolutely love the true art of sewing. Thank you so much Helen for sharing your enthusiasm, enjoyment and passion!"

Helen Moyes Designs responded:

"Thank you for your review John. I am glad you both enjoyed our workshop and that you increased in both confidence and skill. I'm so pleased to hear of your new found love of creative sewing and am working at developing more courses."
