Woven Bag workshop with Rachel Davies
Description
During this workshop you will be able to complete an 18cm x 18cm woven bag with plaited handles. The woven bags are created from pre-loved fabric! We are all looking for ways to become more sustainable and to make do and mend. Our wardrobes and linen cupboards are busting with textiles that hold memories. Do you have clothes that children or grandchildren have outgrown but you can’t part with? Or textiles you have bought, but don’t know what to do with? Well, bring them along and transform them into a bag! Alternatively, all materials can be provided within the cost, including ribbons and buttons for embellishment. You will also have the option to start a larger bag if you wish, to complete it at home once you have learnt the process. It’s up to you. You will leave the workshop with the instruction sheet to make many more bags if you want to. All the sessions are suitable for non-sewers, as well as the experienced who would like to find new techniques to explore. The session is held in a purpose-built art studio in the centre of Tarporley.
What's included in the price?
