Description

Each 2.5 hour session will have a different subject and emphasis. Exploring practical skills and techniques from preparing surfaces to paint, on to application of paint, tools and use of mediums. The sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience, looking to refresh ideas and hone their skills. You could dip in and out of these sessions as each is stand alone or book them in a series. About The Tutor: Catherine Matthews is a practicing artist and qualified art teacher with 20 years of experience in teaching Art in secondary schools, as well as with adults and community groups. With a friendly, enthusiastic approach and fresh ideas, she aims to inspire creativity in others through art as an adventure. Traditional skills with old and new processes. Learning through doing.

Stanwick Lakes is a unique 750 acre nature reserve and countryside attraction located in the heart of Northamptonshire’s Nene Valley.

We have extensive play areas, open spaces and paths that families, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers can explore at leisure. We also have specially considered areas dedicated to nature and its wildlife, as well as the history of the site.

Parking is free for workshop attendees - please give your registration plate details to our reception staff in the Visitor Centre on the day.

Alternatively, you can become a member for just £42.00 per year, giving you free access to all our facilities for a whole year, while supporting Rockingham Forest Trust.
