Helaina Geaves reviewed: Mixed Media Painting Workshop in Brighton Seaside Home

"I really enjoyed this class, I feel that I was taught everything that I need to know to be able to do a mixed media picture at home - which I'm definitely going to do. Laura was very organised, relaxed and encouraging and she had a wealth of materials to choose from. If you want to explore mixed media that I would definitely recommend this class."

"Cant praise Lucy enough for a great and informative day. Learned so much about my own style and how to achieve the look I want in my new home. Don't be put off by mention of Lucys love of colour _ am pretty conservative but she was able to help me inject some colour into my very traditional room."

"What a fabulous day! We attended Toni's course for my daughter's 21st birthday as she's a keen crafter. I wasn't expecting to come away with so many lovely things - it's incredible how far this silver clay stretches. We had such a great time. Toni was incredibly knowledgeable and is a very talented lady. We will definitely back to do her other courses. Thank you for an amazing day Toni, LOVED it and wholeheartedly recommend this course."

Claire Mutiwanyuka reviewed: Upholstery and upcycling furniture and interiors

"I enjoyed the course immensely, Lucy made me feel welcome and it helped that the other participants were super friendly and helpful as I managed to learn a lot from their individual projects. Lucy was keen to share as much as she could possibly could and no question is a silly question either. I came away having learnt how to sand down a chair, decoupage (both paper and material) on a chair and a picture frame and reupholstering a dining room chair. As well as observing whilst others were being explained the various steps. Lovely snacks and lunch available. I highly recommend this course."

Michael W reviewed: Spoon carving (Two Day)

"Excellent course. Just the right degree of stretch to provide a sense of having learned a great deal, and of achievement, without feeling at all stressful. Good lunches and good company. A weekend very well spent. If, like me, you have not been in an explicitly "learning" environment for while, it is fascinating to watch yourself doing so, under Martin's expert and tactful tuition."

Leona reviewed: Wire & mixed media sculpture courses with James Ort

"This course is partly about making the sculpture you had in mind when you walked into the studio and you certainly are well-supported in attaining this goal. But you also leave the course with new ideas and a road-map leading you to their creation. Having had no experience in working in three dimensions, I was amazed to find I had created a figure which bore a real resemblance to what it was supposed to represent! The Phoenix Studio where James Ort teaches his courses is incredibly conducive to creativity. You can sit, stand, walk about, drink tea etc. at will. You naturally tune in to the creative spirit which pervades the space. And it's fun! There is laughter and nurture in equal measure. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who would like to work with wire."

Eve Webb reviewed: Wet felt works of art

"This workshop was an absolute joy from start to finish. I had never done wet felting before but had looked into it lots and I loved it, producing a felted flower and picture in the time given, that I was really pleased with. The setting is totally relaxed with lovely beverages and biscuits on offer. Fiona was really knowledgeable about the craft and wool generally and was brilliant at tutoring. She is extremely fun, friendly and relational and I wouldn't hesitate to try any of the workshops at the farm. I thoroughly enjoyed myself."

Alan James reviewed: Beginners introductory pyrography course in Lincolnshire

"I feel that the wood burning course might be compared with burning wood logs on an open fire. It was warm and comforting. it commandeered ones full attention, it exercised ones imagination (with faces in the fire), but all without any spitting, sparks or, the resultant ash: Pity it's not possible to dispose of used tissues.5 So thank you and best wishes."

MartinW reviewed: Spoon carving (Two Day)

"I absolutely recommend this course to anyone who has a desire to learn about, and try their hand at, spoon carving! Martin is the consummate host and teacher. He has set up the whole environment to put his small groups of students at ease and allow them to learn safe knife and axe skills - and to walk away with their own-made butter spreader and spoon ... and, if or group is anything to go by, a desire to do more :-) Martin demonstrates every task that you will undertake and is always there to quietly help out when/if you get stuck and to let you get on your way again. Oh, and ... great lunches are provided too! I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone with a desire to explore the world of greenwood carving to get themselves booked in on one of Martin's courses!"
