We had a wonderful morning with Anne, it was just what we needed to to relax whilst learning something new! Anne is a great host and teacher, taking care to explain things and friendly and warm too. I would highly recommend Ann
This course was excellent!
Having done lots of research online about candle making I decided there were just too many contradictions about what you should and shoulder do, which resulted in my having questions about every stage of the process that really needed to be answered by someone who fully understood what happens and why.
I attended this course early October 2020, and everything was COVID-Secure.
Everything was set out for individual learning, and practical-based: there was no handbook to follow, just listening and doing which was great. (You do get a handbook by email after the course.) There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions, no matter how stupid they may have seemed to me (Ann didn't let oif they were stupid). Very importantly I got to smell every candle scent Ann had, which I know will have saved me a fortune in mis-purchased scents as what you think you're going to like you actually dont, and vice versa.
I came home with a pillar candle, a jar candle, a tin candle, three metal tealights, two shaped tealights and six wax melts.
By the end of the course I went away quite confident that i could make candles by myself without harming myself or the intended recipients, which is the best outcome you could want!
Very happy, and excellent value for money.
Thank you Ann!
I loved this class. Anne was very generous with her knowledge and we learned as many techniques as she could fit in the time! We learned pillar candles in moulds, container candles, tea lights, wax melts and how to add colours, fragrances and glitter! I had a wonderful time, thank you.
A lovely morning spent with my daughter, while Anne taught us about candle making, very informative. We made a variety of candles, coloured and scented, which be brought home. A real pleasure to meet Anne, can’t thank her enough.
I had a fantastic morning at Anne’s workshop. We made a variety of candles using different techniques and were able to take them all home to burn. Anne was really welcoming and answered all my questions as well as sharing her knowledge with us. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future courses.
I had a personal lesson with Anne before Christmas and the lesson was excellent. Due to various reasons I haven't been able to make any candles as yet, however I am confident with the guidance notes that Anne provided that I will be able to give this a go and get creative. We made some lovely festive candles and I thoroughly enjoyed this creative lesson. Would highly recommend Anne's class and look forward to attending some future workshops.
Having done the basic candle making workshop with Anne, I felt confident that the advanced candle making workshop would be just as interesting and I wasn't disappointed. Anne patiently showed us how to place wooden wicks and explained their burning tendencies, explained how to choose wicks for multi-wick candles and demonstrated the cooling time of beeswax. I now have several gorgeously scented candles and wax melts! Very happy!
A lovely introduction to candle making. I came away with so many candles and lovely smells. I highly recommend this course. I have already bought some of the kit to make my own at home
Had a lovely morning with Anne making candles. I learnt lots and have even signed up for the advanced class. Great teacher, nice little venue, never-ending tea and came home with some wonderful smelling candles. What more can a girl want.
My first candle making course, really enjoyed it. Anne was an excellent teacher, everything was simply explained, I found it easy to follow. We were not rushed at all and made several different types of and colours of candles. They turned out very well, my husband was extremely impressed with the final product. I will certainly book in again for another session.
A friendly personalised workshop just right for beginners. It was really enjoyable and we came away with some lovely candles as well as having learnt a lot about candle making and how to go about it at home. Delighted with the candles I made, learnt about dyes, scents as well as different styles of candles. Thanks very much!
My wife and I had an excellent time, Anne is a lovely lady, she is very professional and knowledgeable. Anne answered all our questions. We learnt a good variety of candle styles and were allowed to take them home to enjoy and give some to family and friends. We will highly recommend this course to anyone. Thank you Anne, you are a star.
Really learned a lot and met some lovely people. Anne taught us lots of different techniques and I went home with a lot of lovely candles.
What a super course, Ann was absolutely lovely and we made some super candles varying in shape, size, colours & scent. Tea/coffee & cakes served. The course is run in a beautiful village church hall with excellent parking, easy to find. Had a very enjoyable relaxing few hours & came away with super candles, well worth the money, I shall look to go back to the advanced course in the future. 5 stars!
Excellent course - small group which worked perfectly. We got to make far more candles than I thought we would in one session. Would definitely recommend.
A very enjoyable morning making lots of different style candles, in different colours and smells. A friendly small group and yummy brownies (thank you Anne)
Thank you Anne for a lovely relaxing morning making lots of different candles and meeting new people. Learning about all the options and choosing our own scents and dye colours for various shapes of candles was so much fun! I would highly recommend this class.
Really enjoyed the class. Was lucky to share the class with a small group of lovely ladies. Anne was really helpful and answered any questions we had. We were able to make so many candles. More than I expected to be making. Really happy with the class and would attend the advanced class with Anne which she is considering for the future.
