Nadia‘s workshop was a delight.
When we arrived it was good to know that we were all able to have a throwing wheel each.
This meant the whole group could work at the same time and make the most of the course.
Nadia and her assistants helped us to achieve throwing and moulding by way of their skills and experience and helpful manner.
Nadia has a huge knowledge of clay, throwing and firing and was very helpful, super friendly and enthusiastic.
She encouraged us to have a go, not be afraid of the clay, to have a go and enjoy ourselves.
Coffee and delicious brownies at break are scummy.
I had a brilliant afternoon with Nadia and her helpers. It was a wonderful, hands-on experience that was both a joy (I laughed a lot) and a delight (I made something - with a bit of help...!). If I lived closer I’d sign up for a course.
What a fabulous afternoon in a lovely location. Having never done any pottery before Nadia who was extremely patient helped me produce a few pots which I will not be too embarassed to show to friends! It was lovely to meet other people and the chocolate brownie cake was divine.
Booked this for 8 people as part of a birthday celebration for my younger sister. Nadia was welcoming, lovely and friendly. Most of us have never done pottery before but she was ever so patient in helping us get started and correcting our mistakes. She encouraged us to keep trying (despite us being so bad!) and most of us managed to complete 2-3 dishes/bowls each within the 3.5 hours. It was a great introduction to pottery for us and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Would not hesitate to recommend!
A really fabulous afternoon. Great fun and great results too! I couldn't recommend more highly :-)
My hubby and I spent the most fantastic afternoon with Nadia and 5 other students at the beginning of September. Our first time to throw, we knew nothing. Nadia’s calm and patient teaching had us moulding the raw clay, centering, shaping and creating. You’ll have your own wheel and tools and great opportunity to create something to take home, under Nadia’s wing. A beautiful studio, wonderful garden and delicious cake set the scene. We’re hooked and very keen to find ways to “throw” again - thank you Nadia for a wonderful experience.
My husband and I attended a pottery workshop as a birthday present to him. He had done a little throwing before, I'd not done much. Nadia was very welcoming and an excellent teacher. She gave us tips and spotted the various (numerous) mistakes, and helped correct them. The workshop is great: beautiful setting and we'll equipped. We made a few pieces and are waiting with anticipation to see how they fare in the kiln. It was a wonderful, relaxing and inspiring afternoon and I hope we'll be back another time.
I brought two spaces on this course as a present for my dad and I to do together. Such a lovely location. We had a really great day and would highly recommend.
A brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Hope to be back to try and improve on my potting skills! Looking forward to seeing the end result.
Such a lovely afternoon. Thank you Nadia for taking the time with us to explain how to get the basics right. It was a tricky process and great fun to experiment with making our own pots. Nadia makes it look easy!
The gorgeous homemade chocolate cake was a bonus and I can't wait to see my final pieces after they've been fired!
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas after we both became hooked on the Great Pottery Throw Down. We both had a fantastic afternoon. It was much, much more difficult than it looks (of course!) but Nadia dealt with our many questions (and vast mess making!) with considerable patience and good humour. Lovely setting and modern equipment - highly recommended!
I booked this course as a Christmas present for my 11 year old and i to do together.
The course exceeded expectation and we had the loveliest afternoon.
We all had a wheel each so a full afternoon throwing and Nadia was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and nothing was to much to ask. She also makes a delicious chocolate cake!
We will certainly be returning for another afternoon.
Thanks so much Nadia.
Nadia demonstrated the processes involved in throwing a basic pot on the wheel. We were then able to put this into practice on our own wheels with satisfyingly good results. If at any time we were unsure of the process or our abilities Nadia was more than happy to guide us in her friendly, gentle way.
Lovely day all round in which we learnt a lot.
Now how much was that pottter's wheel on eBay?...
A fantastic course and brilliant birthday present. Nadia was an excellent tutor, who helped everyone individually with their clay creations. The homemade cake was scrummy too! A thouroughly enjoyable afternoon- thank you!
I would thoroughly recommend this course. Each person had their own wheel, unlimited clay and recieved plenty of individual attention when required from Nadia. It was a really enjoyable, relaxed afternoon punctuated with tea and lovely homemade cake. I will definitely be returning!
Mum and I had an absolute brilliant afternoon. Nadia was is a wonderful tutor. Good class size meant we all had the personal time if we needed advice/help. Great fun had by all. Very yummy cake too - a talented lady through and through! I would highly recommend this experience. Thank you for a memorable day.
