Full day pottery experience

Hello, I'm Sharon, an experienced Sculpture & clay artist, I regularly host fun and informal pottery sessions from my studio in the beautiful rural village in Heskin, Lancashire.

This fabulous fun filled day explores lots of elements of pottery making.

You will experience throwing pots on the potters wheel. You will be shown and guided on how to make your first pot, then given time to practice by yourself. Help & assistance is on hand at all times. We then look at various methods we can use create a build by hand building.

You will then choose an item to make from our many ideas in the studio, you will then be shown, step by step how to make it in clay. You will learn how to shape, blend & attach the clay together to form your masterpiece.

Once you have made your creations we stop for lunch. You can bring a packed lunch with you, or purchase lunch from any one of the various food outlets within the centre.

In the afternoon we relax with some pottery painting, we have loads of bisque pots to choose from and its a lovely way to bring the day to an end.

All our sessions are run 1:1 unless you come as a couple or part of a larger group, and run everyday except Mondays.

All your clay creations are taken home on the day to air dry, or as an optional extra, you can have them fired & return to paint them around 2-3 weeks later. The cost is £5 per pot.

The Crafty Potter studio is based within Heskin shopping Village, a unique retail and leisure destination featuring over 40 unique shops and businesses, With free parking we’re a perfect destination for you to make a great fun day out.

The Experience makes a fabulous gift for all occasions.

To keep our studio safe we continue to have sanitisers & reduced numbers, alongside Deep cleaning and disinfecting. Group bookings are a maximum of 8 persons. You will need to wear your mask during the wheel throwing part of this class.
I cant wait to see you all again, Sharon xx
