About the Course

In this three hour session, you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making. You will be taught how to roll, texture, fire and finish a minimum of one .999 fine silver pendant which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop (potentially more depending on the size and shape chosen).

Please note: if you have a design project in mind - please email to ensure that you book onto a workshop that gives you enough time to complete the piece/pieces due to the nature of the processes used.

I am a qualified teacher with over 15 years experience and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 6 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside. Please feel free to bring along any small objects like stamps, textured surfaces, natural forms etc. from home which you might like to use, a collection will also be provided for you to pick from.

Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 14-15 as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian but please email me before booking.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

7 grams of silver clay and findings are provided, with the option to purchase 18 inch sterling silver box chain necklaces on the day.

Refreshments are provided.

I have never been so proud of a product I have made. I really enjoyed the process ; every step was extremely intentional and meant that a very meaningful piece was created in the end. Tuuli was kind, calm and patient as a teacher. I hope to take part in more of her courses in the future.

The workshop was a wonderful way to enjoy a creative morning. I had never worked with silver clay before, and I was thrilled to bits with the earrings and three silver heart pendants that I made. Tuuli was an excellent teacher - very patient and extremely encouraging. I loved the way all the equipment was so neatly organised and ready for course participants to use (including a huge choice of really beautiful and intricate little moulds). I also enjoyed using a blow torch and watching the transformation of the silver clay.

I have already recommended Tuuli's courses to my friends!

Thank you, Tuuli. I look forward to attending another of your courses in future.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop, it's amazing what you can do with silver clay isn't it! Thank you for your lovely words and for taking the time to leave feedback.

I attended a beginner's silver clay course and I thoroughly enjoyed it, all the required materials were supplied and the advice given was great.

I was very pleased with the results and have worn the pendants I made, I even got compliments from people who didn't realise I had made them.

Together with my daughter we had a wonderful time making silver clay jewellery. It was an amazing experience to design and create our own pieces. The whole process was very relaxing and almost magical.
Tuuli was very patient and friendly when sharing her knowledge and giving ideas. She supplied us with all the materials we needed, adding silver jump rings and earrings to finish our project.
We fully recommend Tuuli's workshops.

Thank you Tuuli

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. It's greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you both enjoyed the workshop!

My daughter and I spent an amazing 3 hours with Tuuli and four other people on Saturday learning the art of silver clay. Tuuli gave us encouragement along with clear instructions and guidance. The pleasure as our pieces turned into silver was almost magical! We have already worn our pieces and are looking forward to making more. My advice to others would be there’s no right or wrong design just go with it and you will be surprised at what you can create!
Thanks Tuuli for sharing your knowledge and kindness with us. We look forward to attending another course soon.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so glad you both enjoyed the morning and lovely to hear that you are also enjoying wearing what you made!

Really good fun and Tuuli was so helpful and explained everything so well. We had a fabulous time and came away with several beautiful and individual items such as earrings and pendants. I've been wearing the earrings every day! The only difficult bit was choosing what to make, there was so much inspiration. A really enjoyable morning, thank you so much.

We had a fabulous few hours learning new skills. Tuuli was an excellent tutor, welcoming, assuring and extremely patient. Her confidence in us was rewarded when the final gleaming pieces were revealed. Can’t wait to do more and I’d especially like to try the ring workshop.

A fantastic morning spent learning this new craft. Tuuli was brilliantly welcoming, knowledgeable and excellent at explaining and supporting each of us. Small numbers meant plenty of individual help. If you are thinking of doing this course, don’t hesitate- book immediately!

Thank you so much for your lovely review Rachel! Looking forward to welcoming you back to make a lovely ring for yourself x

A creative fun morning, lots of extra info from friendly tutor for those wanting to try more things at home. Would recommend trying silver clay projects. Tutor and venue delightful.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

Thank you so much for your lovely review Sarah! Lovely to see you and Alida again.

The tutor I had was very accommodating to all of the people on the course and gave valuable information while also being friendly and approachable. She provided all of the materials needed with extra things such as chains, jump rings and earring backs which were very useful. The way she showed us how to create the silver clay was very useful so that you could do the same thing at home. The course was very fun with a good amount of time to practice and I didn't feel pressured to finish in a certain time frame. Overall I would recommend this to anyone as it does not need mass creativity to make yourself so anyone can go onto the course for a fun time.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

Thank you so much for your lovely review Alida! I loved seeing what you've been able to create with the clay. Good luck with your interview xx

It was a wonderful course and it was even better to arrive without any skill in the craft at all and to leave with 3 pairs of ear rings and a pendant! Great teacher and great company.

All i needed to bring was myself. Tuuli supply’s everything you need from start to finish.
The workshop was very well organised and value for money. I will definitely be booking another course again later this year.

A really great morning spent learning a new hobby, I would highly recommend this course.
Tuuli explained and supported each stage of the process and all resources were provided so you didn't need to take anything with you.
I still can't believe that I started with a pea sized piece of clay and after a couple of processes went home with 4 pieces of silver jewellery.
Thank you Tuuli :)

What a lovely way to spend a gloomy Saturday in January! Tuuli was very welcoming and explained each stage of the jewellery-making process with patience and enthusiasm. Silver clay is such a forgiving material to work with and everyone was really chuffed with their final pieces. Thank you Tuuli for introducing me to such a fun, rewarding new hobby!

I have done a first half of silver clay workshop with Tuuli at a different venue and I must say I absolutely loved it. I’m not very creative but I really wanted to learn new skill. Tuuli explains everything clearly and provides all the resources. We were spoiled for choice when it came to stamps, shape cutters or natural resources to make our very own mould. Tuuli also had plenty of her own already made moulds which were ideal for beginners like me as the effect was just a fool proof.

I’m already looking forward to the second half. Bring on the hand made Xmas this year! 😊

Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop
Tuuli’s workshop was so much fun! I returned for a second session to learn more about this exciting material and have made some really special gifts. The room was filled with items to inspire us with, such as natural forms and moulds of lavender and leaves. Tuuli shares her skilled knowledge in such an interesting and open way, it is amazing to discover what can be done with silver clay in just three hours. With her help I was able to create a unique pendant out of a vintage squirrel pin and I’m so happy with it, I have worn it every day since.
Thank you! Hope to be back again soon.
