My friend and I decided to do something together for our birthdays rather than buy gifts for each other this year. We both love crafts and booked on with Melanie. From booking, to emailing questions to the day itself, it was brilliant. We had never done glass craft before but Melanie makes it so easy for you to follow, everything was provided, even extra cake. Highly recommend and such great value. Venue is light, modern and airy, but compact but ideal for what you’re doing. Ample parking and great directions provided on booking.

Fused Glass Wave and Dichroic Glass Jewellery Workshop with Crafts in the Valley

I booked the one-to-one course for my partner’s birthday and he loved every minute of it. Bob has the rare combination of decades of experience in his craft, whilst also being a good teacher. There was an excellent balance between demonstration and hands-on work. Bob is a lovely guy, very friendly and funny, and made the experience welcoming to a complete beginner. We’d love to come back again and learn more.

Blacksmithing - one to one - Hammer Skills

I booked 2 places to surprise a friend for her birthday present. The workshop was just perfect, we both made rings and were impressed by our results! Julie was patient and encouraging, giving us all the information we needed to leave with a great finished ring each. We also had a break with tea and cake which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this workshop and hopefully will be able to come again too!

Silver jewellery making workshop for 2 people

This was bought as a birthday gift. We had an amazing day, the course is so informative and surprising!!! We learnt a great deal about the whole process and accurate ways to use tools. Everyone came away with a spoon. The lunch was delicious and the hospitality amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful day

Spoon carving at Walderchain Wood, Canterbury

Wow! What a wonderful morning in a beautiful, tranquil surrounding in the woods. I booked this course for a friend's special birthday treat, and was not disappointed. The lovely weather helped, being outdoors. Suz was a very patient, and clear instructor. Always ready to help when you needed it. Everyone produced a great willow Obelisk and being a smaller group made for a friendlier atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend this course.

Willow Obelisk Plant Support

My son had an amazing time learning from Jeremy. We took Charlie for a session for his birthday and he was so pleased with the tongs that he made which he has been able to use whilst forging at home. Jeremy is a great teacher who gave Charlie lots of advice on his technique and on how to improve his home made forge. Would thoroughly recommend this course.

Cornish Blacksmithing Experience

Me and my siblings bought this course as a birthday present for our mum. We all had the best day, learned a lot and were really happy with our makes. Great instructors, shout out to Ben who told us loads about the history of Blacksmithing as well as teaching us. A great experience, we'll be back.

Blacksmithing Taster Experience

This was a surprise, early birthday present (I will be an OAP tomorrow). I didn't know anything about it until this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and totally happy with the end result. Jan gave me the confidence to produce a wonderful dragon book box. Jan was an excellent tutor who gave prompts and advice while enabling my own artistic ability to shine. I would thoroughly recommend this course with Jan. Thank you Jan for the course and thank you Lyn for the very thoughtful gift.
