Description

Create a high quality mosaic in one day during my mosaic workshops near York. Select from a huge choice of materials and colours. Learn how to design and create your own mosaics using the direct and indirect methods. You don't have to be able to draw to create mosaics! I provide many designs to choose from or you are very welcome to bring along your own design to fit a 22cm square base. Full instruction on cutting and laying tiles and grouting. Leave with a helpful advice and handout on where to buy materials and which glue to use for your next project (lamps, tables, floors, vases etc!) Friendly, fun and informal. Professional member of the British Association of Modern Mosaics with extensive experience of providing mosaic workshops with adults and children & public and private commissions for over 25 years. Teacher-trained and community artworker qualified. My one day introductory mosaic workshops take place in Huttons Ambo, near York, North Yorkshire (set in the Howardian Hills, AONB - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and overlooking the stunning Yorkshire Wolds). I am located 15 miles from York, 4 miles from Castle Howard and 25 miles from the coast (Scarborough). Please get in touch for booking and/or more details. I have been working as a full time professional mosaic artist since 2007 facilitating mosaic workshops across the UK, in over 100 schools and with a diverse range of adult groups.
