Lovely setting for a stained glass class.
Sarah was very welcoming and friendly, with tea/coffee and biscuits on hand.
Took us through the basics of scoring and cutting stained glass to begin with and then we got to create something for ourselves. She was always on hand when needed. I particularly enjoyed the part when we got to do some soldering! At the end of the morning we then got to take what we made home.
A really good taster session and would recommend to others who just want to have a go at doing something different. :)
Stardust Stained Glass:
Thank you Karen! Lovely to meet you and I'm glad you enjoyed your morning.
I was a little apprehensive but Sarah made me feel very welcome. She was a great instructor. It was a nice small group and I met lots of lovely like-minded ladies; all excited about cutting and shaping our first pieces of glass to make our very own sun-catchers! I would love to book again! Thanks.
Had a really enjoyable time doing this course.
The time whizzed by and everyone managed to make something that they were secretly proud of! Who knew we would be so creative?!
The group size was just right so everyone got help and advice when needed and lovely refreshments were provided.
I would highly recommend this course and I will definitely be going again.
Attended this course with a friend a few weeks ago. Sarah is very well organised and gives you as much help as you need (in my case quite a bit!!). The small class size makes it less daunting to walk into and it was good to meet fellow crafter's - all of whom were new to this particular craft. Was very proud of my bird suncatcher that I came away with at the end of the session. Would be very interested in doing a Christmas decoration course.
I have always wanted to try stained glass and I was not disappointed with this course. The tutor was extremely patient and helpful and demonstrated every step for us. The pace was relaxed and the group a good size so we all had help when we needed it. The home made cookies were a bonus too! I am thrilled with my sun catcher and can't wait to try a full day course so I can make something bigger!
My friend and I had a lovely time. Sarah was a fantastic host and instructor. She explained each stage carefully with a practical demonstration and was then very attentive as we each had a go. I was very pleased and proud of my three decorations which looked beautiful hanging up over Christmas. I would love to do another course with Sarah.
I came to this course with a friend and we both had a lovely time. Sarah was patient, encouraging and experienced, which has meant we've each come away with three stained glass decorations of which we are proud. I would recommend this course to others.
Fantastic day making Christmas decorations and great value for money. Loved the finishing touches such as a wide variety of tea, homemade cakes, embellishments such as ribbons, beads and then tissue paper and a bag to wrap it all up.
Looking forward to doing another course with Sarah; she is lovely and very knowledgeable
