If you are a beginner in glasswork and want an in-depth look at the craft behind stained glass windows and mirrors, then this is the course for you.
What does the course cover?
This weekend provides a detailed look at the practice of making a traditional stained glass panel and you will be taught how to make one from scratch. You will choose your glass from our vast selection and our expert tutors will show you how to cut it to a pattern. You will then be taught how to cut and shape your lead came, solder it, cement it and polish it. You will complete a stained glass light-catcher or mirror to take home.
With this course we are offering you the chance to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby, and it’s a great introduction for those who wish to take our 13-week Exploring Glass course which covers stained glass and other glass art techniques.
