This is a workshop for those who have attend our "one level painting on glass" course, or for those who have a basic knowledge about glass paint and you want to go deeper into multiple firing and use of enamels and silver stain.
We'll produce several samples and we'll develop during the two intensive days a couple of more elaborate pieces of glass paint.
We'll manage to make 3 firings.
This last work will be fired overnight and can be collected the week after or you can arrange it to be posted to your home.
You are welcome to bring your own images to work, or you can choose between a variety of images from my design archive.
Note this is a technical and practical course on painting. We are not going to finish a leaded panel. If you wish to build a complete leaded panel with the painted pieces during the workshop, you can book one place on my " Skill Class" course.
Small groups (max 5 students) for plenty of personal tuition and to accomplish all the safe guidelines for social distancing. We can keep 2 meters distance at all times.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
You don't need to bring anything but wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. If you have an old jumper or an overall, better.
Remember to bring your packed lunch (We have a microwave to heat it up). Other way you can buy some food nearby the studio (don't expect a delicatessen)
I will provide coffee, tea and biscuits during the session.

I’ve done millions of different courses – I think this might possibly be the best one ever! There’s something about this medium that is incredibly absorbing. And David, we both really enjoyed your teaching and inspirational energy! I’ll definitely do more glass painting courses at some point…. Thanks very much for these YouTube links et cetera – always good to get this kind of stuff to keep me motivated.
A very well prepared and organised course. David’s friendly manner was reassuring for a complete beginner. There was a great deal of support given to achieve a finished piece of work. I enjoyed the weekend, meeting other more experienced students and learning from their examples. I would be happy to do other courses with David as he is a very gifted artist and teacher.
A fun weekend developing my interest . David was very welcoming & interesting. The studio was well equipped. I would definitely do another course with David
David created a great atmosphere for learning, experimenting and having fun. A steep learning curve for a beginner like me, but everyone achieved some vital and powerful works, through being encouraged to engage with their own creativity. David has so much experience and artistic integrity to pass on. Would love to do another week end.
Really enjoyed this course, David taught it really well with just the right measure of guidance and allowing you to make your own discoveries.
I have learnt some valuable new skills, just need to work on them now - I feel it has opened up a new area of hot glass work for me to try.
