Designed for glass makers who already have some experience, this 5 day course explores everything you need to know to confidently add splashbacks and large panels to your practice.
You will be taught by Liz Sparkes, owner of Glassification, a kiln formed glass studio specialising in hand made, bespoke glass splashbacks.
Liz will share everything she has learned (the hard way!) so you don't have to!
With over 20 years experience as a kitchen designer, the course will not only cover glass making issues such as firing schedules, kiln preparation, choice of glass, how to install etc, but also give you an understanding of the kitchen market and design issues your customers will be facing. Along side this you will also learn how to find customers for your art. In short this is a full "business in a box" course.
If you are serious about your glass business, then this is the course for you.
For further details please get in touch.

During the week you will make a full size splashback and sample tiles in up to 4 ranges. All glass is included in the cost of the course.

I am familiar with fused and stained glass, but wanted to know the differences with making something BIG. I am so glad I attended this course because it was full of useful information which has already been tried and tested by Liz herself, so everything she has learnt she has passed on. She went into detail of the pitfalls and how to get around them. Aga's being a bit of a mean beast for splashbacks, but again mastered by Liz, and advice passed on as to how to overcome them. I attended this course in June and she is still helping me with any questions I have, so her help and advice is ongoing well after you have attended the course.
